Meet Brandi Lynn of Brandi Lynn Public Relations

Today we’d like to introduce you to Brandi Lynn

Brandi, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Being in my teenage years, I knew I always wanted to work in the entertainment or the media industry but before that I wanted to become a doctor. So starting college at Thee Jackson State University, I realized math wasn’t my strongest subject but I enjoyed science. So I changed my major to somethings I was good at, like reading and writing. I graduated with my BA in English with a concentration in Journalism. So I took most of my Mass Communications classes very serious. Before graduating, I interned at both of my media jobs at WLOK Radio and ABC24 News then after graduation, I got hired at ABC 24 News Memphis.

Me wanting more, I moved to Los Angeles and started my own Public Relations firm which is called Brandi Lynn Public Relations, founded in 2017. The business is my baby and has been growing with solid clients every since. When I moved back to Memphis, my second internship, WLOK Radio, called me and hired me as a personality talk show host of “Let’s Talk About It,” and their social media manager. I absolutely adored being an on air personality and I would love to do it again one day.

Now I currently work back at my first job after college graduation, ABC24 News Memphis as the Assignment Editor. I love that role and what I do on a daily basis, all while getting my PR clients more exposure and advertisement, as my second career.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Life comes with struggles and obstacles that we all can either choose to hurdle over or let it burden us down. I’m the type of individual who doesn’t quit on my own life or things I really want. I know how to take matters into my own hands and make something out of nothing. Even when I did have family/life challenges, I took a quick break and got back up again to continue the marathon of chasing and fulfilling my dreams.

We’ve been impressed with Brandi Lynn Public Relations, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Brandi Lynn Public Relations get businesses and people who have been running their own marketing by themselves for years, a break, to allow a professional like myself to run the PR side of their business for them. I get my clients exceptional exposure for their business, product, services, office, book, music, events etc. I do this by booking them on different media placements, locally and non local on TV news, radio interviews, blogs, ads, radio commercials, podcasts Plus much more.

I feel what sets me apart from other firms or Publicists is that I keep it 100% real with my clients. No faking when it comes to other people, business, interviews and finances. I treat people how I want to be treated and my clients know how sincere and genuine I am. I feel like that’s why they always return for me to promote their new and upcoming ventures.
I’m most proud of my longest running clients, the YWCA Greater Memphis and all of the amazing events and fundraisers we have put on for the mid south. We bring well known artists, speakers and influencers to Memphis/Southaven and give them a different out look on what we do, raise money for their domestic violence shelter and the great works that they continue to do.

What sort of changes are you expecting over the next 5-10 years?
I see it continuing about the same as it is now. At some point, all businesses, entrepreneurs, artists etc. will need a Publicist to market them to larger audiences because they will see that doing it themselves for a long period of time is highly unlikely.
