Today we’d like to introduce you to Bree Chavez- Sparks

Hi Bree, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
Ever since I can remember, I have been captivated by old things that
have a story to tell. I grew up a
migrant child with immigrant
parents. They traveled to different
states for work, so we’d always visit secondhand stores, estate sales in these beautiful historic homes. In
trade school in 2019 I started
collecting and selling vintage furniture and home goods on various
platforms. Over the past five years I managed to grow a following with clients all over the country. East Nashville has been my home since moving here seven years ago, so
when it was time to take a leap into
finding a studio I knew I wanted it to be here. I have had the studio for a
little over a year and the community has truly been so wonderful and supportive.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
I owned a bakery for seven years beginning in my early 20’s. That experience taught me that taking the road less traveled comes with
challenges, but it’s all worth it when you’re doing what you truly love.
Keep on truckin’ even when the road
looks intimidating.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
Paloma Vintage Goods is located on Gallatin pike in East Nashville and is proudly Latina owned. We are a curated vintage furniture + objects studio. We source furniture across
the country, Europe, and Mexico. I love finding Italian stone, marble tables, antique cabinets, and leather chairs/sofas alongside folk art.
Everything is unique or a one-of-a
kind piece, including the occasional nude oil painting.

Do you have any advice for those just starting out?
Be willing to grown and learn. We all start somewhere, wherever you are do what you can and continue to push forward. Someone will notice eventually and it will be worth all the hard work you put in.
