Meet Candice Bruder of Pure Sweat + Float Studio and Pure Sweat Sauna Studio

Today we’d like to introduce you to Candice Bruder. 

Hi Candice, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstories.
I have been a die heard sauna enthusiast for years, and it is a regular part of my wellness practice. I attribute my sauna practice to have only been sick once in over ten years. While living in New York City, I was a regular at the Russian Turkish Bathhouse in the East Village. I then learned about infrared saunas, which provide medical-grade heat therapy and an abundance of health benefits beyond a traditional sauna. Fast forward to Nashville, I was commuting back and forth to NYC for work, which inevitably became stressful. Someone suggested I try floating. When I floated for the first time, the light bulb immediately went off. I resigned from my career in PR and started Pure Sweat + Float Studio in 2017. We will have 6 Studios and growing in 2021. 

I think there is nothing more proactively healthy than an infrared sauna, and floating has changed my life – becoming my path to meditation. 

2020 taught me how essential grounding is. When all else externally is out of control and in chaos, there is only one place to reliably connect to and empower – and that is within. When we are grounded, we can persevere with clarity and confidence. When we quiet the noise, we can hear it within. 

The action we take now in our self-care practice is the building blocks in wellness to serve us when we need it most. 

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Becoming an entrepreneur is not for the faint of heart. It requires fortitude, perseverance, and always, passion. I have to see the big picture, the little details, as well as tap into what is meaningful to people. My vision has remained clear and strong since I began, but we are always learning and elevating. I am lit up spiritually on a daily basis, serving our community in health, wellness, and a space to connect within. It has been the most enriching experience of my life.
