Meet Carissa B. of TCB Entertainment Network

Carissa B came into the industry as an artist with the Multi. Award-Winning Not Easily Broken- NEBS. She has been in many roles in churches. She is passionate about Praise and Worship. She is an advocate for empowerment and change in the Christian community. She has an Associate of Science in Sociology. Bachelor in Criminal Justice and now is working on her Master in Criminal Justice. Before becoming a full-time artist, she owned an online Plus size store and was a personal shopper for many clients. She also holds childcare “God’s s Little lambs” for about a year before moving into her online store, Phat Beautys. Phat Beautys was an online store that provided clothing and more for plus-size clients. She participates in annual causes such as the Phat Beautys Model show, which brought awareness to Breast cancer survivors.

She is affectionately known as Carissa B, aka “Christlike,” she is originally from Springfield, MA. Carissa is a wife of Pastor Thomas B., mother of 4 children, and a servant (Evangelist) of the Faith. Carissa B has been in the industry for over 20 + years. From Creating events to establishing platforms for others, this Media Mogul is taken the world by storm. Carissa B started her journey as a Praise/ Worship Leader at her local churches to become a radio personality on the airwaves of Award-Winning Radio Stations. She has travel international and spoke at women’s conferences. She was a radio show programmer for a well-known Radio network, and now she is the Owner/CEO of 20 Digital Internet Radio Stations and 5 TV Stations. She still has time to produce and create context on her Multi-Award Winning Life Radio Podcast Show during all this. She continues to develop platforms for many people, and her motto is “Kingdom Building on a Whole New Level.”

Can you talk to us about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned? Would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It has not been a smooth road for me. I realized that I was different at an early age, and my journey would be different. I have dealt with many ups and downs but overcame them all through the help of the Lord. I have been in hospital where I was told that I would never sing again, but I was healed and have been able to sing across the National and even international—overcomer of many things and still more to come. My faith in God has remained and become increasingly important to my way of life. I am where I’m at due to my faith and trusting God to guide me through it.

What does success mean to you?
Success is defined as doing the best I can to bring fulfillment, bring awareness and encouragement to others, and grow and learn to be the best version of me. Whether there is a shortcoming or not, strive to be the person God has called me to be. The definition of success is the accomplishment of an aim or purpose. I am forever learning and grateful to be an overcomer in all areas of my life.
