Hi Carl, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.

Finished my studies and continued making & performing music full time

Toured Australia multiple times

First visited Nashville in 2011 to write and record my 1st full-length album Crayon Days

Back and forth to USA between 2011 – 2016

Moved to USA in 2016 – Nashville TN with my wife and 2 young kids

Full-time performances across 35 states to date, house shows, events, corporate, original shows, festivals…

YouTube Content creator for Live Looping

2020 Truefire Teaching Professional Live Looping Course creation

2021, continued creating content, recording new original material, and performing all across USA

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Not fitting in with my original content in AUS (hence the move to USA) Moving a family across the world

Supporting a family of a single income as an independent artist

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am a solo, live-looping performer and songwriter. I specialize in Live Looping, and I’m known mostly for that alongside my voice and my songwriting.

I’m most proud of the fact that I am trying to represent a normal guy, with a family, who is really trying to make a move in an industry that devalues ME based on things that shouldn’t matter at all such as, age (I’m 35 by the way, family status, not the mainstream genre, independent, etc…)

What sets me apart? I believe 2 main things: –

1. Without sounding like a douche, I believe I have talent and hard work to offer – my songs are great, my voice is great and my performance is both well delivered and unique.

2. I’m transparent, and will always stand up for the raw “life” version of things. The most traction I ever get is when I have a real conversation with my fans and friends, or on social networks about REAL things. Not things that make me look like a fake superstar.

Do you have any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
My dad is a builder so I spent a lot of time with him working on houses when I was young. Also, both my parents had a unique admiration for music so I got to hear many styles and listen to my mum play Piano and sing in our lounge room.

    Hi
Love the story on Carl have followed him for a while.
I write for a duo from Scotland who I found in first lockdown here in the uK. We have been picked up by Kent Wells who produces Dolly Parton and we have showcase gigs on Nashville later this year.
Could I send your their debut album for your views please. It went to no 1 in the official UK country charts,
    Thank you
