Meet Caroline Lewis of Lawson House

Today we’d like to introduce you to Caroline Lewis

Hi Caroline, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I first started out at Lawson House right out of college, as one of the first full-time team members. I began as the Operations Assistant to our founder, working alongside her in setting up our processes, building out our service offerings, and helping communicate with our clients. Over time, I was promoted to Director of Client Experience running many of our client projects and helping delegate tasks to our team. I got to learn what it took to offer true customer service and show up to do my job well day in and day out.

Last Spring, our founder decided to step away from the business to go onto new adventures, so she asked me to take over. As I stepped into my new title as Chief Executive Officer and business owner, I began to look at Lawson House in a whole new light. I was able to step into my dream job and serve our team and clients like never before.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has been a wonderful journey and I wouldn’t change it in the world; however, that doesn’t mean there have not been challenges along the way. Learning how to run a business not just from an operations mindset has been a new adventure. Leading our team through a season of transition has been such a gift in ways I never expected.

My experience of being so client facing has allowed my keep our clients first and foremost throughout this new season of Lawson House and I am so grateful for our team adapting so quickly!

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Lawson House?
Owning a company is hard. It comes with lots of ups and downs as business owners wear many hats and try to drive a profitable business without losing the personal touch and quality of their offerings. Oh yeah, and pay their bills! About half of all new businesses will fail within the first 5 years (Shopify, 2024), which is a lot of time and energy down the drain. So what if the businesses had clear goals, knew their customers, and could attract them with ease?

This is what we do at Lawson House. We make it easy to feel known through unique branding, online presence, and engaging content that attracts more of the clients you need to thrive.

We offer a variety of design and marketing services, including website design and strategy, brand identity, social media management, marketing strategy, SEO, and more.

Our team helps create intentional and impactful plans that drive businesses to know and utilize their unique offerings better and bring clarity to themselves and their customers, which drives business growth.

Networking and finding a mentor can have such a positive impact on one’s life and career. Any advice?
Networking has been such a great way to meet other business owners, hear their stories, and grow your community. Whether it is to bring in more business or just make a friend, networking events have so many benefits to business owners. You never know who you will meet.
