Clemmie Greenlee

Clemmie, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I CAME FROM A POOR FAMILY AND TWO ALCOHOLIC PARENTS THAT LOVED ME BUT DIDNT KNOW HOW TO GUILD ME SO I FELL INTO AN EARLY PREGNANCY AND DRUGS. AT TWELVE I WAS SNATCHED INTO SEX TRAFFICKING AND MY LIFE SPIRALED OUT OF CONTROL. I START GOING IN AND OUT OF JUVENILE AND JAIL I CAUGHT AN AGGRAVATED ASSUALT CASE FACING 20 YRS DID NINE MONTH AND AT AGE 42 YRS OLD I WENT INTO REHAB AND CHANGED MY LIFE🌹

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I was struggling with detoxing and finding my god and my purpose I didn’t want to go back to drugs or the streets. My son was murdered right after I got out of rehab in 2003 eight months later and I was determined I wasn’t going to let his death make me relapse so I got my life together

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I was called and blessed to start a nonprofit to help other mothers whom child has been murdered by gun violence. What I am proud of is that I’m still clean and sober twenty two years later and I travel to speak about gun violence and sex trafficking, My group is called Mothers over murder.
