Today we’d like to introduce you to Cole Arvin.
Hi Cole, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Born and raised in State College, PA, home of the Penn State Nittany Lions. I played a year of college basketball at Penn State Altoona before moving to Nashville, TN. In Music City, I earned Valedictorian from SAE Insitute in 2015. After graduation, my employment included studio production, live sound production, artist management, merchandising, hospitality, retail, and security operations. In January 2020, my wife and I opened Blue Dream Salon on Music Row.
Since 2020, I’ve earned certificates in Global Sports Management and Hospitality & Tourism Management from New York University Online. I’m currently studying Fitness & Sport Management online at the University of the Cumberlands. My wife and I have opened, operated, and sold three businesses under our LLC since 2019: Blue Dream Salon, Dreamss Supplements, and Inspire Style Soul.
I’ve coached high school boys basketball the last four years, with my most previous stop being Greenwood High School in Bowling Green, KY. I was a lead instructor for Nexxt Level U, a national recruiting and scouting service for high school basketball players directed by Coach Michael Bailey in affiliation with Allen Iverson. Currently, I’m the Youth Sports Director at The Core of Scottsville and Facility Director for The Cube Core Community Center in Scottsville, KY.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
In March 2020, two weeks before COVID shutdowns, my wife and I survived a violent overnight tornado that gutted our East Nashville apartment complex.
In February 2024, during my second season of coaching basketball, my father unexpectedly passed away and my soul was sliced open. Grief and depression eventually fade into love and gratitude, if you keep praying.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
My resume showcases experience across various of industries. I’ve worked in sports, music, event operations, and customer service. Working with the youth and inspiring the next generation of leaders fills me with pride. My goal is to “be who you needed most as a kid.” I had many motivational role models around me growing up and have tried to emulate them all. My leadership style is a patchwork of lessons from those who inspired me. I’m known for my energy and authenticity, on and off the court. I’m most proud of my resiliency, commitment, and loyalty to the mission. Keep on keeping on!
Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
My wife Stacy and my dog Chips. We can’t wait to add our baby boy to the team this fall!
