Meet Cri’shon Thompson of Nashville

Today we’d like to introduce you to Cri’shon Thompson

Hi Cri’Shon, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I grew up in a military family and have over 10 siblings so naturally I loved putting on shows for the entire family and being the center of attention. I’ve been singing and playing instruments since I was about 4/5 years old and fell in love with the stage and performing very early on. I would sing at churches, festivals, radio stations, in my living room and anywhere else I could. In middle and high school , my family was featured on a tv show and my opportunities started to grow in the modeling industry as I walked my first few runways for Back to School shows. Once heading off to college, I started to create YouTube videos and vlogs for my social media. I have spent the last few years growing all of my social media platforms with new content weekly emphasizing lifestyle content and music. I’ve also grown as a model and now extended into music videos and print modeling and not just runway. I’ve gotten to work with amazing artists like Lee Brice, Kameron Marlowe, Maverick City Music, Kirk Franklin, Ella Langley, Phil Wickham and so many others! I plan to continue to grow as a creator and musical artist and pave the way to open doors for so many more to come behind me !

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
This road has not been smooth even in the slightest. From dealing with issues with my health after finding a tumor in 2020, being absolutely broke with not even a penny to my name, to losing people close to me in sudden tragedies, it has been a rough journey. However, I’m beyond grateful for all of those experiences as they helped to push me and motivate closer to my dreams.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I’m a content creator, model, and singer/songwriter who does Christian and Country Music. I create on several different platforms and also specialize in UGC content for different brands. I’ve been doing this for about 4 years now and my proudest accomplishments have definitely been being able to start a scholarship for at my former college in one of my college organizations to open doors for young people of color like me at the university. I like to say I’m a jack of all trades because I’m currently pursuing a career in medicine, a nursing student, musician and modeling all while creating content weekly.

So maybe we end on discussing what matters most to you and why?
Representation ! Representation is everything especially in a field where there aren’t a lot of others that look like you. It matters to me to be the person who I needed when I was starting my journey. Seeing others who look like me do the things that I’ve dreamed of is what truly inspires and motivates me every single day.
