Meet Dad Jackson

Today we’d like to introduce you to Dad Jackson.

Dad Jackson, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I became a father at 15 and had another kid at 16. Becoming a parent so early forced me to take a different approach than most teens and made me who I am today, Dad Jackson. Everything move I make is with the thought of them!

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The road has been rocky of course but that’s where you learn the most valuable lessons. Being judged as a teenager is one of the hardest things. So many questions about what will you do with your life now and people just giving up on you.

It’s easy to lose hope in those situations but somehow I managed to never let it phase me.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am a man of many talents but my most common priority aside from being a father is music. I love creating records that are relatable and will have longevity. I take pride in making good quality music and I believe that’s what separates me. I also have an urban clothing brand Creative Weighs Culture! I’m most proud of overcoming the obstacles that people didn’t expect me to. The ones that seemed impossible.

Do you have any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
My favorite childhood memory would be when my stepdad was finally out of the house! He was abusive to us all so when he left we really got to live life. No pity needed, lol, that’s just one of those obstacles I had to overcome to be who I am today!
