Today we’d like to introduce you to Danielle Adkins.
Hi Danielle , so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I have always been interested in art of all kinds. It started when I was young, from painting, drawing, singing, to snapping pictures with disposable cameras, digital cameras, and finally editing my own photos when smart phones started becoming more common. Several years ago, my mom asked me to take her engagement photos and thats when I knew for sure that I really loved Photography. I truly enjoy capturing moments to share with others. My husband gifted me a professional camera for Valentines Day and soon Rhythm and Lyrics Photography was born. My mom, bonus dad, and husband have been my biggest support and best source of advice through my growth as a photographer.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
In the beginning, I was inexperienced and struggled with my confidence as a photographer. My first few shoots were very nerve racking. But soon, my commitment to showcasing the best in my clients surpassed all personal doubt.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am a photographer that specializes in musicians, artists, and singers for promotional use. However, I also do families, pets, events, buisness, bachelor/bachelorette and whatever other creative ideas my clients can imagine! I think that I am most proud of my Shoot & Show showcases. I partner with Bobby Connell to get photos of songwriters from all over the city and surrounding areas at “Bobby Rays Rocking Writers Round” once a month. Writers can come play their original music while also getting several professional photos to use as promotion for their music. What sets me apart from others is my pricing. Life is hard for everyone, and if I can create something beautiful for someone without “breaking the bank”, its 100% a win!
Are there any books, apps, podcasts or blogs that help you do your best?
Facebook and Instagram have been great resources for my buisness. Clients can contact me, leave reviews, and share ideas and inspirations through my social platforms.
Pricing:
- Shoot & Shows are $75 for 30-50 edited photos
- Personal shoots range from $75-$100 depending on what the client is looking for, I am very flexible!
- All shoots require a $50 deposit that is included in the final price.
