Today we’d like to introduce you to Danielle Manns.
Hi Danielle, so excited to have you on the platform. So, before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
My work as a content creator/lifestyle influencer began accidentally almost 3 years ago. I had never had/used social media prior to this but my children had been using an app called Instagram and I wanted to look into it to see if it was safe. I was really amazed when I discovered all there was to the platform! As I became familiar with Instagram, I realized the potential to build a business/and generate an income. It was very exciting to realize the number of people I could reach in a day. I began networking and talking to people every single day. It began as something kind of fun, which then turned into a full-time job! I joined many groups of ladies that had similar interests to my own, including faith groups, design and decor groups, health and wellness, medical personnel, pets, and many other chats. I would commit several hours a night to chats and discussions, learning and sharing information. I then began marketing for other people and realized I was pretty good at it. This then evolved into me doing brand partnerships and collaborations with companies for free products and paying for content creation/promotion.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Oh, my goodness I wish I could tell you it has been smooth and easy! It has been a ton of work and a huge time commitment. There have been periods I’ve nearly quit due to the time/work involved. It can
be a lot to manage to try to build a page, maintaining engagement and relationships all while trying to figure out Instagram’s notorious algorithm LOL!!! Instagram loves to keep creators on their toes with frequent changes to the platform and features. Just when you get comfortable you can bet changes are coming! I love it because I am a person that tends to get bored fairly quickly but I also despise it because it can be frustrating to wake up and realize it’s time to learn and use new features! There is a continuous fight to be visible and keep your engagement up.
Another major struggle is justifying to others the amount of time you are investing when they don’t see your vision. Keeping a positive mindset and staying the course can be a challenge. I had to stay motivated and remind myself often of my goals.
We’ve been impressed with Manns Best Friend, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
One of the things my husband and I are proud to be doing is providing our service Labradoodles to families. We raise outstanding service and companion pets. Our puppies/dogs are working in service areas with autistic children, soldiers with PTSD, amputees, diabetic sniff dogs, emotional support, and many more areas! They also make loving family members who are well socialized with amazing temperaments. We start our training program at 3 days old beginning with biosensor training. We then continue to do a lot of sensory experiences and hands-on care, all of this leads to a happy, well-adjusted puppy. We get tons of emails and photos back from our families telling of the difference the pups make in their lives and this is so🥰🥰 rewarding!
What makes you happy?
I am happiest when my family is healthy, having fun, and happy. I am also happy when I have balance in my life. I have a need for organization and I love creating beautiful spaces. I get a lot of joy from staging homes and interior design. I discovered this passion while rehabbing debilitated homes with my husband. There is something very satisfying about taking something old and broken and making it new and beautiful.
