Today we’d like to introduce you to Danny McMahon.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I’m the former UK Country Artist Of The Year and I moved to Nashville in April 2026.
I started working with labels from the age of 16 in a rock band and played the likes of Glastonbury Festival in the UK.
Once I’d finished University I started listening to Country Music through my friend and absolutely fell in love with genre. I’m a producer as well, and I was asked to start writing and producing for UK Country acts and released my own Country music shortly after as a side project. Within three months I’d been asked to head to California to play some showcase events and off the back of it started working with people in Nashville.
After achieving some super cool things in the UK and Europe such as awards and Top Ten records I met my beautiful wife Dossi and we began making moves to live in America full time.
We moved to Oklahoma in January 2026 where we met and got married just off Route 66 and lived there for a few months. However the draw of Nashville was something we couldn’t ignore any further and we’ve began our journey here and are loving every second being here!
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Absolutely not!
Visas are incredibly expensive and I’ve had to balance selling my UK house whilst paying rent here. Obviously my wife and I had patches were we had to do long distance.
Obviously I had to basically restart my life moving from the UK, but I knew in years time I’d thank myself and I’m already watching our dream life come to fruition. I’ve even written a song about it called “Makin’ It’l
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I’m a full time musician Is specialise in songwriting and production through Puzzle Maker Studios and I’m an artist in my own right.
I think just being a guy that’s from the UK out in Nashville makes me pretty unique
We love surprises, fun facts and unexpected stories. Is there something you can share that might surprise us?
The fact that I’m from the UK. When I sing people have no idea until I start speaking
