Meet Davina Quinonez of Nashville

Today we’d like to introduce you to Davina Quinonez.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I went to cosmetology school directly out of high school at 17 years old. I graduated top of my class and got recruited by a high-end hair salon in the Nashville area. I worked with them for 11 years and decided to help a colleague of mine open a salon in West Haven I was an educator and top stylist and I was there for 14 years and one winter we had a catastrophic flood in our salon that rendered me jobless overnight, I decided to open my own business and become an LLC and suite owner it’s been two years and it was the best decision I’ve ever made.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Nothing worth having is ever smooth. But when you love what you do, even the bumpy roads seem easier to travel my biggest struggle is the business side of thing. I’m extremely creative and we tend to not like numbers or anything that has to do with paperwork or taxes ha ha so my biggest struggle has been discipline and running my business with a business mindset.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am a Hairstylist and I specialize in extensions and multitonal color. I am most proud of being able to change the way. A woman feels about herself what sets me apart from others is I truly love what I do, but it’s the people that I love more than what I do it on. women are amazing and helping them feel as amazing as they are is one of the best things in the world. I don’t wanna change someone completely, I enjoy enhancing someone’s natural beauty and making their hair dreams come true

Alright so before we go can you talk to us a bit about how people can work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
I’m definitely on social media and just hired a social media assistant to help me stay consistent and grow my online presenceso I would love to collaborate and cross promote anyone who would be interested in doing that would be great!
