Meet Dylan Wolfe

Today we’d like to introduce you to Dylan Wolfe.

Hi Dylan, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I knew I when I was about 17, I could carry a tune. So, I started teaching myself how to play guitar in my apartment when I was 19, I finally got the courage built up to start singing in front of people at the age of 21 and was doing local open mics! I met a guy who had been playing locally for about a year, who later became my partner and a very dear friend of mine at a private party where he allowed me to sing a couple songs, and from there, we started growing our brand well as the years went on him and I grew into one of the top country/rock bands in southern IL in early 2021 we merged our brands into s duo project referred to as Wolfe & Nation. As we tackled this project in 2021 him and I both had our first child his son & my daughter! All though it seemed to be a success in the making it was. Just too much for us to handle with our schedules constantly conflicting and decided to go our own ways!!!

Since I was 18 years old, I worked in the Oil field for my father working 70/80 hours a week and gigging on the weekends.

Up until the end of 2021, I continued that same routine but with working long hours at a very physically demanding job gigging on the weekends, driving back & forth to Nashville to write and record on top of being a father it became too much so I recently began being a musician and a father full time minus the oil field. We look to set out on my first tour at the end of February

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Not at all!!! Wanting this dream to come true so bad I had to work a full-time job that interfered with a lot. Including sleep. Plus, my job required me to be in the heat/rain/snow all day lifting heavy object which made me very hard to get along with because I was always so tired. On Friday I had to get off a little early rush home pack all of my gear and drive hours to my shows play 4 hours then drive home and repeat that Saturday. On Sunday if I wasn’t playing a show I was working on social media/ songwriting or taking zoom vocal lessons This, all became even more difficult When my beautiful daughter Addie Mae was born!! I continued on the same path giving her little attention and little help to her mother.

Which in return made me feel 9 kinds of guilty

But I kept my head down and kept marching on which has seemingly started to work in my favor as for the last few months I’ve made some very large jumps in my career

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I work for my father’s oil field company as a Rig Operator on a Pipe Tester I’ve always been able to keep a crew in line where the a mutual respect between all of us which allowed us to move well as a team! I’m a volunteer firefighter & first responder in my little town as well and spent 2 or 3 years coaching at 10–14-year-old level

I’m proud of the fact that all odds have been against me my whole life and no one thought this was a reality for me and I’ve taken that and made it one

What sets me apart from others

I’m one of the most strong-minded people you will ever meet with a work ethic out of this world.

I spent a vast majority of my life doing without & not having a lot and having to make sacrifices & I don’t want that for my children.

I’ll work Sun up to sun down if I give you my word bet your ass, I’m going to keep it, and being told no doesn’t affect me I look for different doors, and I may not be the most talented in the room but they will have a hell of time keeping up with me when the work begins

Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
I’m hopeful that I can sign a record deal and be selling out venues /arenas in the next 5-10 years.
