Today we’d like to introduce you to Elijah Leavens.
Hi Elijah, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today.
Originally from Upstate New York in 2021 I traveled down to Tennessee for Bonnaroo. After getting into the area and settled in right up the road my friends and I got the news that Bonnaroo had canceled.
After I got the news I felt the show must still go on! Springing into action to get a video out onto social media I wanted everyone in town to still get together and celebrate what was bringing us together – The Music!
After getting multiple messages and people contacting me I found out many others had the same heart and got linked up with some amazing forward-thinking individuals.
Throughout this time I met so many amazing people and made some great connections with friends that ended up throwing a pop-up Music Festival.
Although I am not a part of the event itself Greenway Music Festival was the event that led me to make fantastic connections in the music industry in Nashville and ultimately helped me decide to move to Nashville instead of going home to New York.
Flash forward a year later and I started Global United EDM LLC in the middle of 2022 with a focus to unite the EDM festival community and connect everyone together.
Throughout this year I have worked endlessly to make relationships with those in the industry that are paving a way for our culture & continue to be forward-thinking in working together with everyone to achieve their goals as we establish ours to enrich our EDM festival community!
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
This journey has been a rollercoaster, to say the least.
Although my burning desire to help connect the music scene has constantly been there as well as my heart to throw events that bring the community together. There are challenges around most corners.
Some of the largest challenges come down to finances & networking.
Throwing events and networking with other event coordinators takes a multitude of time, capital, and relationship.
While at first out of pocket and brand new to the Nashville Music scene it took ample amount of time to build the relationships with trust and bond as we have now.
Although not without mention there were a number of individuals that have always believed in me! It’s these friends of mine that always pushed me further and helped me in my journey as we worked together to hold one another accountable for personal and professional growth!

As you know, we’re big fans of Global United EDM. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
The Global United EDM mission is to connect the dots within the EDM/Festival community. Our heart is to work with influencers in the scene to tighten the network for the ever-growing and evolving dance music family.
The community is for everyone in the scene! DJs, producers, festivals, visual & audio production, promo, collectives, flow, artists, vendors, the whole fam!
What sets us apart from other companies is we take a ground-level approach and focus on community and relationships to help others get their name and brand out to achieve their goals.
We are proud of the relationships and network we have created in such a short period of time. In around the period of 6 months, our community has grown to most states and multiple countries.
The community gives a great place for those to network outside of the local area of influence. While also giving those an outlet for community and connection!
We would love to encourage those in the EDM scene to join and follow what the community is up to as we are always working on new ways to grow and network together!
What makes you happy?
I’m happiest being able to help others achieve their dreams! I also love to bring people together in the community. It’s these moments I cherish that push me to go deeper.
It’s so amazing to have a life completely devoted to music and the community. Something most dream of and somehow this has now become our daily life at Global United EDM LLC.
Also, what would happiness be without spending time with my friends & family? These moments are so important to me because I love deep connections with others!
