Today we’d like to introduce you to Elizabeth Lamberth.
Hi Elizabeth, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
My journey with photography began in 2021, when I purchased my first real digital camera. I had a one-year-old and was pregnant with my second, and I was obsessed with taking photos of my daughter! The cell phone just wasn’t cutting it, haha.
Once I got my hands on the camera, I fell in love with learning all the ins and outs of photography. I would ask friends and family if they’d let me practice on them so I could hone my skills.
My brother, Isaac, had already been doing photography for several years, and his tips and tricks have definitely played a huge part in helping me reach the level of professionalism and quality I have today.
In 2022, after having my son, I decided to go full force into photography and start my own business. I second-shot weddings with my brother, booked every session I could, and just put myself out there.
I never would have dreamed I’d be where I am today—photographing over 30 weddings a year, along with many smaller sessions, too.
My husband started doing videography with me in 2023, and it’s truly a dream to work side by side doing what we love!
None of this would be possible without the favor of God and His hand in it all. We are so, so grateful.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It’s been mostly smooth, and I’m so grateful.
It’s definitely a little tricky learning all things wedding, but once you get into the groove of things it just sort of flows!
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I’m a professional wedding photographer.
I specialize in Weddings, for sure! But I still offer smaller sessions, like family, senior etc.
What sets me apart from others?
I’d like to think my quick, yet efficient, skills in getting you the photos you love in a timely manner.
We’d love to hear about how you think about risk taking?
I’m not a huge risk taker. But I do live by faith, so if God tells me to take the leap, I know I better take that leap or I’ll regret it!
