Meet Evelen Aziz Massoud of Abundant Life Chiropractic

Today we’d like to introduce you to Evelen Aziz Massoud.

Hi Evelen, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
From early on, I knew I wanted a career in healthcare where I could help people in a more natural and conservative way. I was drawn to chiropractic because I loved the idea of helping patients improve their health, movement, and quality of life without the use or medications or surgery. I wanted to help patients feel their best by addressing the root cause of their concerns and supporting their overall health.

After graduating from chiropractic school, I worked in several high-volume clinics where I gained experience treating a wide variety of patients and conditions. I’ve had the opportunity to care for everyone from pregnant mothers and infants to grandparents, athletes, wellness patients, and individuals recovering from personal injury accidents. Those experiences helped me grow tremendously as a doctor and showed me the importance of truly listening to patients and tailoring care to each individual.

Eventually, I took the leap and opened my own practice, Abundant Life Chiropractic. My goal was to create an environment where patients feel heard, comfortable, and genuinely cared for while receiving high-quality, individualized treatment. In addition to chiropractic adjustments, I also incorporate soft tissue therapies such as cupping, muscle scraping, soft tissue release techniques, and rehabilitative exercises to help patients move and feel better overall. I’m also excited to soon begin offering dry needling as another tool to help patients recover and improve function.

Opening my own office has been both exciting and challenging, and I’m incredibly grateful for every patient who has trusted me with their care so far. My faith has also been a huge part of this journey, and I truly believe God has guided me through every step and continues to use me as an instrument to help others heal and improve their quality of life.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It definitely has not been a completely smooth road, especially being in the early stages of opening and growing my own practice. One of the biggest challenges has been learning how many different roles come with being a business owner. As a chiropractor, my passion is caring for patients, but owning a practice also means wearing many hats every day — from marketing and networking to scheduling, insurance credentialing, and managing the day-to-day responsibilities of the office.

On the patient care side, one of the most challenging but important lessons has been understanding that every patient and every case is different. Some patients respond very quickly to care, while others require more time, patience, and collaboration. As a doctor, you naturally want every patient to feel better immediately, so it can be difficult when progress takes longer than expected or when someone has more complex underlying issues contributing to their pain.

At the same time, those experiences have helped me grow tremendously both professionally and personally. They’ve taught me the importance of listening carefully, continuing to learn, being patient, and truly meeting people where they are in their health journey. Through it all, my faith has kept me grounded. I truly believe God has guided me every step of the way and continues to open doors and place the right people in my path. Seeing patients improve and knowing I’m making a positive impact reminds me why I started this journey in the first place.

As you know, we’re big fans of Abundant Life Chiropractic. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
At Abundant Life Chiropractic, my goal is to provide patient-centered care that focuses not only on relieving pain, but also on improving overall function, movement, and quality of life. I wanted to create an office where patients feel genuinely heard, cared for, and comfortable from the moment they walk through the door.

What sets my practice apart is the individualized approach I take with each patient. No two people are the same, and I believe treatment should reflect that. Rather than rushing patients through quick visits, at Abundant Life Chiropractic, I take time to listen, assess thoroughly, and tailor care based on each person’s needs and goals. I work with a wide variety of patients, including athletes, wellness patients, pregnant women, infants, individuals recovering from personal injuries, and people dealing with everyday aches and pains.

In addition to chiropractic adjustments, I incorporate different soft tissue and rehabilitative techniques to provide more comprehensive care. Depending on the patient, treatment may include cupping therapy, muscle scraping, soft tissue release techniques, and rehabilitative exercises. I’m also excited to soon begin offering dry needling as another tool to help patients improve function, mobility, and recovery.

Abundant Life Chiropractic is a Christ-centered office that is rooted in compassion, honesty, faith, and truly serving others. The name “Abundant Life” comes from John 10:10, where Jesus says, “I have come that they may have life, and have it abundantly.” That verse has always resonated deeply with me because my goal is not simply to help patients get out of pain, but to help them live fuller, healthier lives physically, mentally, and spiritually. I want every patient who walks through the door to feel supported, educated, and empowered throughout their health journey.

More than anything, I want readers to know that my office is a place where people can come to feel cared for, understood, and encouraged while working toward better health naturally and conservatively.

We love surprises, fun facts and unexpected stories. Is there something you can share that might surprise us?
Something people may not realize is how much creativity goes into building and growing a practice. Beyond patient care, I’ve really enjoyed learning the marketing, branding, and community-building side of owning a business.
