Meet Faith Schueler

Today we’d like to introduce you to Faith Schueler.

Hi Faith, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Growing up, I always dreamed of being a singer. I was constantly singing and diving deeper in my love for music. I grew up singing in church and playing at open mic nights in coffee shops around the small town I grew up in. I started writing my own songs when I was thirteen years old and by the time I was sixteen I was recording my first single, “Who Holds Your Heart” in the recording studio. Since then, I have recorded and released more music including my songs “March On Girl, “Rainy Day Lover”, “Getting Over You”, and “Bless Your Heart”, to name a few. Today, I am still pursuing this amazing career as a country artist performing, writing, and recording as I chase my dreams and accomplish my life long goals.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Pursuing a singing career has definitely had its ups and downs. As you go through life and chase your dreams, you will have times you won’t succeed, you will have times you feel defeated, but I don’t let that stop me. Just like with any goals in life, you have to work hard to achieve them, and you can’t expect to achieve them on the very first try. One of the things I have learned and taught myself throughout this journey is that even if it takes time to accomplish, every day you are one step closer to reaching your ultimate goal. You just have to keep marching forward. I definitely have felt frustration, disappointment, and fear walking in this industry but I know that this is what I am meant to be doing and I know that if I follow my heart and put in the work then I can make it happen. I have had to learn to keep the faith and to keep going.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am a country artist. I love to sing, write, and play music. I play the piano, guitar, and ukulele. I am most proud of my accomplishments this far as an artist. This is a hard career to pursue and I feel as though I am striving toward my dream and giving this my best effort. And I am proud of that. Growing up, I appreciated all different styles of music including country, pop, and soul. I have created my own unique style that I describe as a country artist with a soul/ pop flare. I hope that people can feel the emotion and honesty in my music.

Networking and finding a mentor can have such a positive impact on one’s life and career. Any advice?
Just be yourself! Surround yourself with people who enjoy doing what you do or have similar interests. I have met all of my friends in the music industry just by fully submerging myself in the business which includes writing with new people, recording and making connections with producers, going to music-related events, and showing kindness, compassion, and support to others.
