Hi Isaiah, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
My journey as Springhill Spider-Man began during the COVID-19 pandemic with one simple goal: to bring joy to children during an incredibly difficult time. I started dressing as Spider-Man and standing on street corners, waving to families and creating moments of happiness for kids who had been isolated for months. One day, someone took a photo of me on the sidewalk and shared it online. The picture quickly went viral, and what began as a small act of kindness turned into something far greater than I ever imagined.
Since then, Springhill Spider-Man has grown into a platform dedicated to serving children and giving back to the community. I’ve had the privilege of performing at more than 3,000 birthday parties across Middle Tennessee, typically attending five to six parties every weekend. I’ve also appeared at community events, celebrity birthday parties, and have been featured on local and national television through numerous news stories and interviews.
Community service has always been at the heart of what I do. I’ve organized Christmas toy drives and fundraisers for families in need, visited children at Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital, and used my platform to spread kindness wherever possible. At just 19 years old, shortly after graduating high school, my community surprised me with a brand-new 2019 Honda Civic because I didn’t have reliable transportation to continue serving families. That incredible act of generosity reminded me just how powerful a supportive community can be.
Today, I continue to use Springhill Spider-Man to create unforgettable memories for children while giving back whenever I can. I know what it feels like to go without, and that’s why serving others has always been my mission. What started as one person in a Spider-Man suit has become a lifelong commitment to making a positive difference in the lives of children and families throughout my community.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It certainly hasn’t been a smooth road. One of the biggest sacrifices has been the amount of time I’ve had to spend away from my own family. Most weekends, holidays, and special occasions are my busiest times because those are the moments when children and families are celebrating. While others are spending Christmas, birthdays, or holiday weekends with their loved ones, I’m often out visiting children, attending events, or helping make someone else’s day special.
Although missing family time has been difficult, I’ve always reminded myself why I started. Seeing the excitement on a child’s face, especially those who may be facing challenges or simply need something to smile about, makes every sacrifice worthwhile. Giving back to my community has always been bigger than me, and while balancing my personal life with my commitment to serving others hasn’t always been easy, it’s a responsibility I’ve been proud to carry.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
Today, I work as a catastrophe insurance adjuster, helping families recover after unexpected losses by inspecting property damage and assisting them through the claims process. It’s meaningful work because I’m able to help people during some of the most difficult moments of their lives. In addition to my career, I’m currently studying real estate with a focus on new construction and building a portfolio of rental properties. My long-term goal is to continue creating opportunities that allow me to provide for my family while making a positive impact in my community.
While many people know me as Springhill Spider-Man, what I’m most proud of isn’t the recognition—it’s the relationships and memories I’ve been able to create for thousands of children over the years. Having the opportunity to bring joy to families through more than 3,000 birthday parties, hospital visits, and community events has been an incredible blessing.
What sets me apart is that my passion has always been rooted in service. Whether I was visiting children as Spider-Man or now helping homeowners recover after disasters, I’ve always wanted my work to make a difference in people’s lives.
Becoming a father has given me an entirely new perspective. For years, I spent countless weekends creating unforgettable memories for other families’ children, often sacrificing time with my own loved ones. Now, having a one-year-old daughter, I’ve discovered that there is no greater joy than watching her learn something new, experience the world for the first time, and simply being present for those moments. Fatherhood has reminded me that while serving others is incredibly rewarding, the greatest gift I can give is my time—both to my community and to my own family. It has strengthened my commitment to building a life that allows me to continue helping others while never losing sight of what matters most at home.
How do you think about happiness?
What makes me happiest is my wife and my one-year-old daughter. They are the reason I look forward to waking up every morning and the driving force behind everything I do. Every goal I pursue, every long day at work, and every step I take toward building my future is ultimately for them.
For years, I spent countless weekends bringing joy to other families’ children through birthday parties and community events. While I wouldn’t trade those experiences for anything, becoming a father gave me an entirely new perspective. Watching my daughter learn something new, hearing her laugh, and experiencing the world through her eyes has become the greatest joy of my life. Those everyday moments are more meaningful to me than any recognition or accomplishment.
My family inspires me to work hard, dream bigger, and become the best version of myself. They remind me why I keep pushing forward and motivate me to build a life that they can be proud of. At the end of the day, nothing brings me more happiness than knowing I’m creating a better future for the people I love most.
