Meet Jaime Puffer of Crafty Holiday Helper

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jaime Puffer.

Hi Jaime, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Crafty Holiday Helper was born about eight years ago out of my home. I have the sweetest memories of my mom always creating magical moments for every holiday, milestone, and special occasion throughout the year. Holidays and birthdays came to life with the “magical scenes” she put together. I knew when I had children of my own I wanted to create these same magical memories.

I worked in the luxury hospitality industry for about 15 years and when I left that industry, I segued into being a full-time mother and creator of magical moments for my children! I always had so much fun going all over town to find the perfect items to decorate the house with to surprise my kids such as when Cupid would come, or those sneaky leprechauns, or the Christmas Elf. It brought so much joy to see my kids light up with wonder and delight when we would get to celebrate any and all occasions throughout the year!

Over time, neighbors and friends would ask if I could duplicate what I had done for my kids so they could also set it up for their kids and that was how Crafty Holiday Helper came about! I would pack bags in my garage and deliver them around town. When that got too small, I moved Crafty into my parent’s garage, and then when we outgrew that we rented a warehouse! Now we ship kits all over the United States and all of the holiday kits are packed lovingly by our amazing team!!

The only goal of Crafty Holiday Helper is to give parents the tools to create magical memories in their own homes throughout the year! We make it easy to be the Pinterest mom you always wanted to be with none of the work!!

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
One of the biggest obstacles I faced was the technical aspect of building a company. I started putting holiday kits together in my garage and was only selling them to my friends and families in local neighborhoods. Early on, I was even hand delivering kits to people driving up to 45 minutes away to make deliveries.

As I started to get requests from non-local friends about shipping kits, I realized I wanted to be able to sell to other families outside of my neighborhood. I needed to figure out how to create a website and the world of shipping! I am so thankful that I was able to connect with a family friend that had years of experience with web design, online advertising, and shipping!

We became partners and it was such a blessing!!! I knew the areas that I did not excel in and found someone who had a different skill set than I did and together we make a great team!

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Crafty Holiday Helper specializes in putting together kits including everything you need to celebrate and create magical moments with your family at each of the holidays, milestones, and special occasions.

The only goal of Crafty Holiday Helper is to give parents the tools to create magical memories in their own homes throughout the year! We make it easy to be the Pinterest mom you always wanted to be with none of the work!!

Some of the kits include – Valentine’s Day kit – cupid comes to visit the night before Valentine’s Day and your kids will get to wake up the morning of Valentine‘s to find special treats games, activities, and fun traces of Cupid!

St. Patrick’s Day – those sneaky leprechauns come starting a few days prior to St. Patrick’s Day and Play tricks around the house and then on their final night, the night before St. Patrick’s Day, they leave the table set up for a breakfast party along with balloons banners and decorations and games!

Easter – of course, the Easter bunny comes to visit and brings a scavenger hunt for your kids to play along with and find their Easter baskets or treats along with your full table set up and decor.

Summer kit – our family uses this to celebrate the first day of summer following the last day of school! Our family will utilize the setup for when the kids wake up on the very first day of their summer break and use this time as an opportunity to talk about some of their favorite memories of their past school year and to celebrate the accomplishment of finishing another school year!

4th of July kit – A great way to include kids in the Fourth of July holiday with a fun table set up and lots of Decor and games for them to play on their own!

Back-to-school kit – our family will utilize this kit a day or two before school actually starts and I usually set it up to utilize during our dinner time. We gather as a family and have an opportunity to talk about our goals for the year and things the kids might be nervous about as they head into the new school year!

Halloween kit – A spooky kit to celebrate this fall holiday!

Thanksgiving kit – this kit works perfectly for your Thanksgiving celebrations to utilize on a kid’s table or to start your Thanksgiving day off with a fun breakfast set up to keep your kids entertained as you start prepping for your Thanksgiving meal!

Christmas Elf Kit – This kit includes all of the accessories you need to have a fun and stress-free Christmas Elf season!! From carefully thought-out scenes to letters from your elf, and so much more, you will be the talk of the neighborhood with the most fun elf!!!

As Crafty Holiday Helper continues to grow we are always adding new kits. Soon we hope to have kits for many other holidays and celebrations!!

Do you have any advice for those looking to network or find a mentor?
No matter what line of business you are in, having someone to walk alongside you to bounce ideas off of and offer advice and guidance is such a valuable asset! I am so very lucky to have a father who is an incredible businessman.

Throughout his career has started and sold several companies and has truly been such an integral part of building Crafty Holiday Helper. From the very beginning, he believed in me and walked alongside me even packing kits with me side by side when there was too much to do on my own.
