Today we’d like to introduce you to Jennifer Harper.
Hi Jennifer, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Well, I’ve always been a driven person even at a young age. I always strived to do well in school and then becoming a teen mom I pushed even harder because I had someone depending on me. I put off college to raise her while working two to three jobs. I eventually worked myself into manager roles and made the proper income to work only one job while raising not one, but three kids by this time. I set no boundaries for myself. I show them no matter how far you come or go you can do or be anything you want to be. I wanted to work with celebrities at conventions, I’ve done that. I wanted to learn photography. I’ve done that. I wanted to go back to school. Now, I’m pushing forward into concert photography, landing 3 Doors Down in September, and lined up for other headliners. I want every person reading this to take it from me personally, anything that you want to be or anywhere you want to go, only you can hold you back.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It hasn’t always been easy, buying equipment for the photography business is expensive and while you freelancing building your name and brand it can be tough. Just push through it.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I’m proud of myself every day and how far I have come in just two short years. I’ve taught myself everything about this profession and am still learning every day. I’ve taught my kids and still teach them that they can be whomever they want in this life with dedication and motivation.
What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
I’m very outspoken and outgoing. I don’t meet a stranger and typically everyone loves me because I can relate to them in some way or another. I’m a loving and generous person. Everyone deserves a chance in your life.
