Meet Jenny Eckblad-Llanes of Jenny Reps

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jenny Eckblad-Llanes.

Hi Jenny, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I attended FIDM for fashion design in 2005. After getting out of school, I found myself more drawn to the production side of things, and because of close working relationships with some successful photographers, I was able to leverage my experience and skill set to adapt and grow. Through the years, I learned more and more about the business. I love the people in this town & I love country music. Labels, managers, artists & publicists became my friends. After becoming single in early 2021, starting my own agency was the next logical & exciting step.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The hardest part about my journey was managing a family & teaching myself the necessary tools for success. Balancing everything was the biggest challenge. Moving from Los Angeles to Nashville in 2015 was definitely the right move, although I didn’t know it at the time. This last year and a half has been incredibly hard for everyone. I was able to dedicate myself to my business and watch it grow despite the shutdown. I have big goals moving forward.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Jenny Reps?
The majority of the photographers I represent are based in Nashville. My goal is to be the go-to agency for anyone looking to shoot in The South. I am overwhelmed with the support of this community and my roster. My photographers specialize in portraits, advertising & documentary. Quite a few direct and do video work as well. I am most proud of the artists that I represent. Their talent is unmatched (in my opinion) & I can’t wait to expand my client base.

What was your favorite childhood memory?
I grew up in North County San Diego. We had an acre of land and it really was secluded. We were surrounded by farms and avocado groves. My favorite memories are from that house- running around outside all day, playing with the neighbor kids & huge Sunday potlucks filled with good food and sand volleyball court games. I had a pony, chickens, a duck, goldfish in a pond my dad made & there were always tadpoles to find and raise. It was a dream.
