Today we’d like to introduce you to Jim Frazier.
Hi Jim, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I’m a producer and musician living and working in Nashville. I grew up in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and both my parents were professional musicians, so music was always in the house growing up. They were always supportive of me and my siblings when we all chose to follow that path. I came to Nashville in my mid-20s to focus on songwriting, but because I’m a multi-instrumentalist, and had recording gear, I was always getting called to produce and record other songwriters’ demos. I decided to open a recording studio and began producing demos for all the major publishers in town. As a result, I began producing label and custom artist projects.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
For me, the biggest challenges have mostly come from the changes within the music industry itself.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I’m a musician and a producer. Mostly known for essentially being a “one-stop shop” for anyone looking to record an album or collection of songs. My experience and education allow me to work confidently in many genres of music. It is always my goal and desire to put the artists I work with first and in their best light.
I have a strong work ethic and get along easily with almost everyone. My attention to detail is often sighted as one of my strongest attributes, and that translates from the recording studio to my live performance work.
We love surprises, fun facts, and unexpected stories. Is there something you can share that might surprise us?
I love to paint and draw, and creatively editing video has become a recent passion that pairs well with my career as a musician.
