Meet Katie Morrell of Morrell Property Collective

Today we’d like to introduce you to Katie Morrell.

Hi Katie, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today.
I started in development in 2004 which led to me getting licensed and buying a real estate firm. I owned and operated Realty Executives of Bristol from 2009-2015.

I also brought Real Hot Yoga to Johnson City and Mellow Mushroom Pizza. We sold both companies and decided to move to Nashville in 2017. I worked at Village Real Estate until 2018 and Came to Compass in 2019. I started building my team in 2020 which has grown to 13 team members.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
The development we started in 2005 failed in the real estate crash of 2008.

It was a very good lesson and experience. I also learned that I should do one thing exceptionally instead of three or four things well.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
We are a team of 13 real estate experts who specialize in different areas of TN. We cover Middle and East TN. We are a luxury team that views luxury as an experience not just a price point.

We are a full-service team for sellers and buyers. We are master negotiators who treat our client’s investments as if they were our own.

Is there something surprising that you feel even people who know you might not know about?
I love yoga and travel.
