Meet Kirsti Morrow of South Nashville (Nipper’s Corner)

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kirsti Morrow.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
About three years ago, I started my luxury mobile tanning company, The Perfect Hue, after years of being a self-tan lover who could never quite find that perfect glow. I knew there had to be a way to deliver a flawless, confidence-boosting tan – so I decided to create it myself. That’s how The Perfect Hue was born: a personalized, high-end tanning experience designed to make every client feel radiant in their own skin.

Alongside running my business, I work full-time in finance and also serve on the Young Professionals Board at The Next Door Recovery, a local women’s addiction treatment center that’s incredibly close to my heart. I’m passionate about helping women feel empowered – whether that’s through beauty, financial confidence, or healing, and I feel lucky to get to do a little bit of all of that in my work and community.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Definitely not a completely smooth road, but I think that’s what’s made the journey so meaningful. Starting The Perfect Hue while working full-time in finance and raising two young kids was a major balancing act. There were late nights, scheduling conflicts, moments where I questioned if I could juggle it all, and (to be honest) moments where I had to take step back briefly.

On top of that, building a brand from scratch came with a learning curve. Finding the right equipment, perfecting my technique, managing client expectations, and navigating the ups and downs of being a small business owner.

But every challenge has pushed me to grow. The support from my clients, the joy of helping people feel confident, and the purpose I find through community work at The Next Door Recovery have kept me grounded and inspired through it all.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I wear a few different hats, but at the heart of everything I do is a passion for making people feel confident, seen, and supported. I work full-time in finance, where I specialize in client service – helping individuals and families manage and grow their wealth with care and intention.

I also own The Perfect Hue, a luxury mobile tanning company I started to fill a gap I saw in the market. As someone who loves a good glow but could never find the perfect tan, I created a custom experience that’s all about enhancing natural beauty in a way that feels luxe, comfortable, and confidence-boosting.

What I’m most proud of is the trust I’ve built – whether that’s with my clients in finance, my tanning customers, or the women I serve through The Next Door Recovery.

What sets me apart is that I truly care. I lead with empathy, I pay attention to details, and I treat people with the same level of care I’d want for myself. I’m committed to creating experiences, whether financial or beauty-related, that are rooted in trust, warmth, and authenticity.

What matters most to you? Why?
What matters most to me is family. They are my why behind everything I do. My husband, kids, and the close-knit circle of loved ones around me are my biggest source of strength, joy, and motivation.

Family has shaped my values, hard work, compassion, resilience, and they’ve been my anchor through every season of life. Whether I’m building my tanning business, working in finance, or serving in my community, I’m always thinking about the kind of example I want to set for my children and the kind of legacy I want to leave.

At the end of the day, success means nothing to me if it doesn’t include the people I love most. They are the heartbeat behind every goal I chase.
