Meet Lamont Lockridge of Downtown Nashville

Today we’d like to introduce you to Lamont Lockridge.

Hi Lamont, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I’m a Nashville-based content creator and comedian, Ive always been a creator, I love writing, directing, and acting. The social media thing was something I just stumbled upon at the time I was traveling the world and going to all of these events that I’d normally never attend but I found a real sense of self from exploring and noticing that different communities and cultures largely found the same thing funny, life.

From there I just started putting stuff out and experimenting with short-form video and POV-style storytelling on social media. At the time, I was really just trying to find my voice creatively both on stage and online, but I quickly realized that content rooted in real-life situations, humor, and perspective resonated with people.

As I stayed consistent, things began to scale. Over the past year, my content has generated over 65 million views across platforms, with a focus on relatable scenarios, social dynamics, and what I like to call the “bigger picture” behind everyday experiences. That style became a foundation for my brand and helped me stand out in a crowded digital space.

From there, I started working with brands like Celsius, Hotels.com, Vrbo, Fanatics, and Scentbird, creating content that feels organic while still delivering results. At the same time, I’ve continued performing comedy and expanding into longer-form content to build a more well-rounded presence.

Overall, the journey has been about consistency, refining my voice, and understanding what connects with people. I’m still building, but the goal has always been to create content that’s both entertaining and thoughtful, while continuing to grow within the digital media and entertainment space.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Of course not, I think the biggest hurdle I had was convincing myself that all of this was possible. It’s kind of the same thing with everyone if you think about it, we all have to challenge ourselves and win. In the beginning I had problems finding consistency, trusting the process, and actually believing this was something that could be done full time without being “Famous”. However, learning to believe in myself and my ability to make people laugh or relate to things and how I see them truly has changed my life and the way I look at life.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I specialize in Comedy and providing realistic scenarios that people can relate to. I think the only thing that differs me from other creators who may exist in this space is my determination. I don’t make excuses for myself ever. I’m always focused and when I fall short I understand I just have to try again.

So maybe we end on discussing what matters most to you and why?
I would say peace of mind. All of this means nothing if you aren’t happy with yourself and your who you are. Once you find that peace you can do anything.
