Today we’d like to introduce you to Lindsey Johnson.
Hi Lindsey, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I moved to Nashville a few years ago, not knowing who I was or what I wanted to do. I worked multiple retail jobs, all of which were not enjoyable and put me in a dark place. I always knew I wanted to do something different, something I was proud of. I knew I had a passion for photography and the ins and outs of social media, so I started posting to Instagram regularly, making connections and through doing that, I found myself and I found what I want to do in my life.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
It has definitely not been a smooth road, that’s for sure. When you do anything that’s scary or different, you’re going to face a lot of obstacles. There will be a lot of questions, self-doubt, and fear. But if you don’t face the hard parts, you’re not able to appreciate the really great parts. Getting past the struggles will get you to where you’re supposed to be.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I have my own business working as a Social Media Manager and Virtual Assistant for photographers and amazing creatives. I love getting to help small businesses streamline their work processes, create a presence on social media, book more clients, etc. It feels like I have multiple businesses because I am so close to my client’s businesses and their success. I’m really proud of the hard work I’ve put in that got me here. Granted, I still have a very long way to go, but consistency and effort really do pay off. I believe my ability to form genuine connections with strangers really sets me apart. It’s one thing to work with someone and get along with them, and it’s another thing to work with someone and become close with them on a personal level. It makes my work so enjoyable when I have a genuine connection with my client.
If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
Courage and a great imagination will get you anywhere you want to be in life. Picture yourself as your BEST self, and show up consistently until you become that person. Have the creative imagination to imagine your biggest dreams, and have the courage to chase after them.
