Meet Mariah Jackson of Florivale

Today we’d like to introduce you to Mariah Jackson.

Hi Mariah, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
After graduating at 16 years old. I immediately started working 3 jobs at a time. I’ve always been an extremely ambitious individual. I loved going into multiple environments at a time and comparing them. I learned what worked, what didn’t and why. I knew college wasn’t it for me. Experience would benefit me more in the long run.
I always dreamed of being a business owner. Was extremely motivated to gain as much knowledge as I needed to run a good business. After hitting 60 jobs as a w2 employee in 10 years. Working as a hotel manager at the time, I saw my dream flash before my eyes. I’ve explored the food industry fully. From mom & pop businesses to corporate restaurants. I explored the sales industry even selling t-mobile phones door to door. Real estate, marketing, the medical field. Retail. Major corporations I worked for were Starbucks, Amazon, and target. I entered the hospitality industry in 2019 as a single mom to my son.
Completely fell in love with the true aspect and feeling of hotel service. It’s all about the details.
I worked at 3 hotel properties at a time over 80+ hours a week for 5 years. Learned every role possible. Until I was offered a job at the Conrad hotel in Nashville. I wore an amazing suite as a hotel manager in a luxury hotel with 20+ floors overlooking Nashville. I thought to myself. Okay, if this is it for me? Immediately I knew I was meant for more.

I’ve always loved the hospitality industry the most because of how exited the guests were who checked in. They get that feeling of “everything is handled and we’re here for you”, experience. Home away from home is what hotels feel like. But more than anything else, what motivated me the most to explore this industry, to the absolute fullest was the family behind me. The housekeepers, staff & hotel management. They were nothing short of family to me. Always there to go above and beyond, take care of people and do their absolute best. I never wanted to leave this industry. But knew I had to. For a vision beyond what I knew I was even capable of. I had the pleasure of working in over 25 hotels in Virginia & Nashville Tennessee. The major corporations I worked for were Hilton, Marriott & Wyndham. Marriott was my favorite because of the structure they have and always treating the guest first.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
There’s been a lot of struggle along the way. 2 years in business now, I definitely wouldn’t change a single thing. Through obstacles you gain strength. If anything, I’m more motivated with each setback.
One of the major struggles is finding the right people to stand behind you. Sometimes as an entrepreneur, you have to be your own rock. Staying positive and motivated is what keeps you going. The vision is so strong the bad days don’t amount to the good ones. My clients motivate me the most. I’ve met some of the most heartfelt people within my business. It has been an incredible heart wrenching experience. They are always there and cheering me on no matter what.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
We’re a one stop shop home service company. We specialize in routine cleaning and service multiple homes with any service asked. We offer full service home packages, landscaping, routine home maintenance (if things break we fix it), we do full home remodeling, design, exterior cleaning, punch lists, whole 9 yards.

We’re a hospitality based brand. Which is what sets us apart. And we love providing curated gifts after every service. Things like flower bouquets, fresh baked goods, live plants, charcuterie, bath & body products. We love giving back to our clients and pampering them! We even stock home essentials and offer things like Pest Control, Car Detailing or Pet Care. We’re a home concierge service with a hospitality twist.

What I’m most proud of in this business is the growth pattern, the support and love from our clients. We love taking care of people the most!

The goal is to not only offer basic services to our clients aside from our new luxury packages. We eventually want this to be the same service with upgrade options for everyone based off their home needs. And we want to stay affordable for all!

What matters most to you?
What matters most to me is making people feel at home in their own home. You shouldn’t have to book a 5 star hotel to get away from home. We’re here to service your everyday needs so you can sit back and enjoy being home. After all, home is where the heart is.
