Meet Megan Feeman of NoBaked Cookie Dough

Today we’d like to introduce you to Megan Feeman.

Hi Megan, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I founded NoBaked in early 2017. I was a little more than a year out of college, working a full-time job in the music industry when I realized that that career path was not for me.

I really wanted to do my own thing and have control over my own future, so I took the one thing that I had ever created, my edible chocolate chip cookie dough recipe, and built a business around it. We started out doing pop-up shops around Nashville but that quickly turned into a physical storefront, which led to franchising and multiple storefronts in different states.

Once COVID hit, we shifted our focus to e-commerce and have made our main goal to be getting into independent retailers across the United States.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I truly can’t imagine an entrepreneurial journey that could be described as a smooth road. Don’t get me wrong, there have been plenty of things that have gone amazingly and even better than expected, but there have been many bumps along the way that we’ve had to learn how to get through.

From opening the first storefront without a budget for construction to navigating COVID as a brick and mortar food business. The challenges have come and will continue to come, but we will face them and tackle them as they do!

We’ve been impressed with NoBaked Cookie Dough, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
NoBaked is cookie dough that you can eat AND bake. It’s prepackaged in a jar but tastes like you just made it in your own kitchen and are eating it straight out of the bowl. Made with ingredients that leave no bitter taste in your mouth, our safe-to-eat cookie dough is one that actually tastes good. Our delicious product combined with our relatable brand is something you won’t find in your local grocery store.

Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
Freedom makes me happy. The ability to choose how I spend my days and who I spend my days with is why I became an entrepreneur in the first place. Without the freedom to choose my own life, my happiness wouldn’t exist.
