Today we’d like to introduce you to Monté Gaddis.
Monté, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I’m Monté Gaddis, Cleveland-born entrepreneur and with a high-level sports background. Behind a growing portfolio of ventures that blend community, sport, and hands-on craftsmanship. I’m excited to share my journey, the businesses I own and lead, and our plans for expansion to Nashville as well as other key markets.
Brief walk-through of my story
– I grew up in Cleveland, Ohio, with a deep love for sports, hands-on work, and turning ideas into community-centered opportunities.
– My path began with successful ventures from authentic workout journey, quality craftsmanship, and genuine relationships with local communities. I started by combining local impact with practical services, then expanded into leadership roles across multiple brands.
– Today, I lead a growing portfolio that centers on building communities through sports, recreation, and reliable contracting work, all rooted in a Cleveland mindset but with horizons that extend to other vibrant cities. I’m excited to share my story and introduce Gaddis Sports Network, INC. as a company rooted in Cleveland, Ohio, with a passion for delivering engaging, high-quality sports content.
A brief story of how it began and where we are today
– I’m from Cleveland, Ohio, and I started Gaddis Sports Network, INC. with a simple belief: sports, mentoring and physical education that resonate with local communities and athletes.
– The idea emerged from countless conversations with athletes, coaches, and fans who craved deeper, more personal coverage beyond the scoreboard. I began modestly, focusing on local teams and niche angles, and gradually expanded as opportunities and relationships grew.
– Today, Gaddis Sports Network, INC. is positioned as a reliable source for after school programming, mentorship, new sports and fun with the youth.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It hasn’t always been smooth, but each challenge shaped my approach to life. Early hurdles included:
– Not getting drafted in 2014 NFL Draft
– Getting released from Iowa Barnstormers in 2016
– Not making the Toronto Wolfpack Rugby League team in 2017
– Building credibility and audience from scratch since Instagram and Facebook hacked/deleted in 2024
– Securing reliable sponsorships and funding for Cleveland Rugby League
– Balancing fatherhood and business
–
– Through persistence, learning, and a commitment to make it to the top, I’ve developed and built a foundation to foster partnerships that sustain my mission.
As you know, we’re big fans of Pour Master Concrete & Asphalt, LLC. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
Nashville expansion: establishing a foothold to deliver Pour Master’s services, plus exploring complementary sports and community initiatives in the Nashville market.
– Cleveland, Baltimore, and Pittsburgh growth: deepening our service offerings, expanding youth and community programs, and forming strategic partnerships with local organizations and sponsors.
– Cross-venture collaboration: leveraging synergies between construction, sports, and youth programs to create bundled community-benefit initiatives (e.g., facility improvements tied to local leagues, sponsorships for youth programs, and co-branded events).
– Long-term vision: a multi-city footprint that preserves our Cleveland roots while delivering quality workmanship, engaging sports programming, and inclusive community experiences in each target market.
