I started photography as a hobby during the COVID-19 pandemic. I’ve always been interested in photography, so I asked for my first camera for Christmas. My parents gifted me a camera set, and that’s when my love for photography truly began. As I learned more about the art, I eventually upgraded to a better camera. That marked the moment I decided to create my business, Mytasia Stone Photography.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Although I love photography, creating a small photography business has not been a smooth road. It takes time and dedication to turn a passion into a profession. One of the challenges I faced was figuring out how to transform something I enjoyed doing for fun into a viable business. Investing both money and time into photography, which can be expensive, made it crucial to know my worth and charge appropriately to sustain the business.

Nashville feels like a great home away from home. Being originally from Jackson, MI—a much smaller city—I truly appreciate the abundance of fun activities and opportunities that Nashville has to offer. On the downside, the traffic is something I like least about the city.
