Today we’d like to introduce you to Pamela DiBasilio.
Hi Pamela, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Started as a small flower farmer and after 5 years wanted to just do wedding flower designing. Took a flower design class with Michael Gaffney and changed to solely doing wedding flower designing. I’ve been designing for about 7 years now and love it. I’m deeply passionate about creating designs and helping brides bring their vision to life. It’s exciting seeing our designs incorporated into each wedding and how it impacts the beauty of the day. I love it!!
I have a studio on our property and I have two young women that work with me, one being my daughter. We have worked at several venues in and around Nashville.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The first few years were more challenging; learning how to coordinate all the details, keeping up on changes, finding the right flower wholesaler, continuing education on trends, & how to work effectively to keep on schedule.
Overall, I think it has been a smoother road rather than bumpy. It’s true when they say do what you love and it doesn’t seem like a job. The biggest asset I had when I started designing was knowing each flower and their resilience. Growing flowers helped me be way ahead of the curve when it came to knowing which flowers would work, how to use them, & the different varieties. I welcomed every bump I hit, it made me more flexible and able to handle any challenges that came up quickly.

We specialize in wedding flower design. We’re known for being professional, knowledgeable, quick to respond to clients, and our ability to provide beautiful flower designs based on our clients vision. I would like our clients to know that I’m accessible and fun to work with all the way through the process. I care about each and every bride. I want my clients to feel confident that they are covered and in good hands when it comes to their wedding flowers. Some of our clients are from out of town and I understand how scary it is to work with someone you haven’t met.
I’m most proud of my ability to bring everything together. We provide top quality floral designs with the freshest florals available. We are able to handle anything from the smallest designs to larger installations.
What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
I care! I truly love my job!
I always find a way to make it happen when we hit a snag, creativity is a super power.
