Hi Paul, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Patches Academy is a Private Daycare located in Spring Hill, Tennessee, offering programs for infants (6 weeks) up to 6 years of age. Principal Owners/Partners are Trina Arrieta and Dr. Laura Brady. Dr. Laura Brady is a special education instructor in Marshall County and Trina Arrieta is the owner of our sister company, Need-A-Break Casual Drop Off Childcare, located in the same plaza in Spring Hill, Tennessee.
In late 2020, as we saw the increasing demand for quality and affordable childcare services in our community, we decided to create Patches Private Daycare Academy to provide a fun and interactive learning environment with a unique multi-cultural and bilingual (Spanish) educational curriculum designed to prepare children for kindergarten and to be life-long learners.
We maintain small classroom sizes to ensure the greatest one-on-one attention and care.
Our Mission: To develop lifelong learners through a multi-cultural academic approach in early childhood development.
Our Vision: To work with parents and families in our community to create an organic learning environment with a creative curriculum designed to spark the imagination of our students and meet the individual needs of each child and age group.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
We created our partnership and drafted our articles of incorporation in the beginning of 2021. As with many other businesses, we struggled with the challenges presented by the CODVID pandemic. We experienced many setbacks and delays and were hit by unexpected expenses that rapidly consumed our start-up investment funds. However, we persevered and were able to finally open our facility on November 17th, 2021 (right before the holidays…) As a brand-new private daycare facility that just opened before the holidays/end of year, and trying to build name recognition and grow our student enrollment; it has been a struggle, but we believe that we have created a great program that the children and their families will love and benefit from. We are confident that our reputation will speak for itself.

Established November 2021 Patches Private Daycare Academy is a premier, full-time, private daycare and educational facility located in Spring Hill, Tennessee. Our mission is to develop lifelong learners though our fun and interactive, multi-cultural and bilingual curriculum, and approach to early childhood development.
Patches Academy was created for families seeking an organic approach to their children’s early childhood education. Inspired by the international private academy, CALP; our academic program is based on a socio-constructivist approach that allows students to have activities every day where they explore what interests them, practice their skills and discover new strengths. Teachers ignite the curiosity of the students, surrounded by an environment that invites creativity and collaboration. Our students not only want to explore how the world works but also why it is that way. Teachers guide learning using all the resources of science, art, history, culture, and technology to deepen knowledge, helping students to innovate, solve problems, and think critically.

Providing a place where parents and families can bring their children, where they know they are loved and well cared for, and that we have the opportunity to teach these children and impact their lives in a positive and educational manner that helps to mold their futures.
