Meet Robin Seay of Robin Seay, Middle TN Realtor

Today we’d like to introduce you to Robin Seay.

Hi Robin, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I was working a job that felt like a dead end—no room for growth, no real purpose, and definitely no passion. I remember feeling like there had to be more to life than just clocking in and out. I wanted a career that gave me a sense of fulfillment, pushed me outside of my comfort zone, and also gave me the ability to build a life of financial freedom.

Real estate checked all of those boxes for me. It wasn’t just a career move; it was a leap of faith. I didn’t have a backup plan, so failure wasn’t an option. I came into this business with determination, hunger, and, honestly, a little something to prove—to myself and to others.

What’s gotten me to where I am today is a mix of grit, persistence, and a genuine desire to help people. Buying or selling a home is such a personal milestone, and being able to guide clients through that process is something I don’t take lightly. Every deal has taught me something new, and over the years, I’ve built not only a career but a purpose that aligns with who I am and the life I want to create.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Definitely not a smooth road—but it’s a journey I’m incredibly grateful for. Real estate can look glamorous from the outside, but the reality is, it’s full of highs and lows, sometimes all in the same day. I’ve had deals fall apart literally at the closing table. I’ve spent months working with someone, investing time, energy, and resources, only for them to decide not to buy or sell. And in this business, many of our expenses—marketing, photography, time on the road—are upfront and out-of-pocket, whether a deal closes or not. That part can be tough, but it’s just part of the commitment we make to doing the job well.

There’s also the emotional toll—missed moments with family and friends, the pressure of being constantly available, and sometimes being the one who takes the blame when things go wrong, even when they’re out of your control.

But every one of those struggles has built character and taught me something. I’ve learned how to be more resilient, to set better boundaries, and to keep showing up with integrity, even when it’s hard. Those hard-earned lessons are part of what makes the wins so meaningful.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
I’m a full-time REALTOR® based in Middle Tennessee, where I was raised and set my roots. This area is truly home for me, and the local connection fuels my passion for serving and growing my business.

I specialize in traditional listings, new construction, walking new and seasoned buyers alike through the process. I’m especially proud to guide first-time buyers through the process with clarity and care, always aiming to make their experience as stress-free as possible.

What I’m most proud of is the business I’ve built on honesty, communication, and integrity. I’ve worked hard to create a reputation where clients feel informed, respected, and truly cared for—not just during the transaction, but long after. I genuinely value the relationships I build in this work, and I stay connected with my clients well beyond the closing day.

10 years ago, my best friend made me a handmade closing sign for my closing day photos. On it, she painted the hashtag #closingdealsinheels—and the rest is history. People started recognizing me by that phrase and even looked forward to seeing which heels I’d wear on closing day. It quickly became more than just a hashtag—it set the tone for my style, my personality, and how I show up in this business: polished, confident, and uniquely myself.

We all have a different way of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
While I do set financial and sales goals each year, success to me isn’t defined by a certain number of closings or a dollar amount. It’s about living a life that feels full, meaningful, and aligned with what truly brings me joy.

For me, success means having the freedom to spend time with the people I love, to travel and explore the world, and to live life on my own terms. That freedom—freedom from a desk, from clocking in and out—is something I don’t take for granted.

Yes, real estate can be demanding, but it also gives me the opportunity to design a life that feels magnificent. To me, that is success—doing work I love, helping people, and still having the space to enjoy the life I’ve built along the way. I believe tomorrow isn’t promised, and I never want to look back and think, “I wish I had done the things that brought me joy.” I don’t want to be someone who waits until retirement to start really living. Real estate, while demanding at times, has given me the ability to create a life I genuinely love—and to me, that is success: doing meaningful work while fully embracing the moments that matter most.
