Today we’d like to introduce you to Sean Ryan.
Hi Sean , please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I started as a child performer age eleven – working as a drummer in my family’s band “Sunset Jazz”. We were working full time playing in Casinos, Private Parties and more.
Eventually, I left the spotlight for a “normal” job working as a Manger at a Pier One Imports. After nearly a decade of performances, I wanted a break.
2 year later, I had a major life event happen to me when I was around 19 that made me revist music again. I quit my job & started playing music full time by the end of month – taking a total leap of faith.
That foundation allowed me to navigate the gig booking and discipline required for memorial performances. Years later I wrote the first song I got on the radio and that lead me to Nashville.
Now, I have a home with my dog & write/perform full time doing House concerts- theater performances & syncs here in beautiful Nashville TN.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
No, there was alot of human heartache involved.
Sometimes to achieve new heights, it requires losing something of your old life. That’s not necessary bad – but at the time it feels like it is. Its actually growth – and thats what changes you to new levels.
But with each challenge – I like to imagine – gets put on a list and if I knock off that list one by one, eventually there will be no huddle left. So its a blessing to know your hurdles I have learned.

I am a Recording Artist here in Nashville TN. I have been on ABC Good Morning America – Bobby Bones – & Grammy Considerations from my music.
I am best know for my deep, introspective lyrics and guitar playing.
What I am most proud of is the people I have inspired & have relived of pain and hurt – that makes everything I went through to be here today worth it. If I can make one person’s life better – I have achieved my ultimate goal.
What sort of changes are you expecting over the next 5-10 years?
Yes – Ai music is here now.
People and Lables use it often & have been since 2023. What it has opened is a chance for new artist to emerge – an artist that might not play guitar but shapes soundscapes. With that comes a ton of challenges & deep talks about the tools involved – all which are worth to consider.
The best example I can compare it too is when we had live drummers before up till the early ’80s.
You hired a drummer to play the track. Then we got drum machines. With that, you programmed the drummer. And now – a full band is available to someone who might be in their bedroom. Making potentially the best soundscapes we will listen too.
I perfer to still hire out – as a way to keep people I know employed. But I am aware how that might not be in everyone’s budget.
