Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
My wife Misun and me where living in Denver, Colorado and times were hard. I was an Army Recruiter in Golden, Colorado and she was a stay at home mom for our 3 sons. In addition to this we were both Ubering full time on top of this to make a living. My wife decided she wanted to make money on her own terms and sell cookies. I helped and supported her and just in time for us to start our buisness I got PCS orders to Fort Campbell. We moved and wanted to start our buisness but didn’t know where to start. My next door neighbor was kind enough to let us know about the Nashville Flea Market, which was where we first started in June. Ever since then me and my wife did flea markets, promotional shows, and even did The Nashville Oktoberfest this year! We really wanted our own store front to expand and grow, luckily we didn’t have to wait long. The Nashville Farmers Market is where we proudly call our storefront home and it has been wonderful! The management, fellow vendors, and customers have been great and it has been a true blessing from God from the start!

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
We have seen alot of success through out our journey, but it hasn’t been all roses. My wife worked for about 4 months perfecting her first cookie recipes before we even made one sale due to how seriously we take our buisness. Me and my wife have very high standards for what me make. People are putting everything we make into their body and we really care about our customers. We have also been growing our buisness extremely fast and as a result have learned more in the past 6 months than ever before. We also have to balance the obligations of our 3 children, caring for our home, and my military service as well. I will say however, me and my wife have dealt it is completely worth all of the late nights and challenges along the way.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
What sets us apart from other businesses is our unique designs of our cookies. Whether it is the crookies or the lavender, ube, or earl gray cookies we work hard to be artistic and innovative with our cookies. At this point my wife has perfect probably close to 40 different recipes most of them with at least 2 different variations in design. We always come up with new ideas and try to be fun and unique. We feel like we should bring something special and unique to the able. My wife has a background in art, which I feel contributes immensely to the beauty of her baked goods. She used to draw Manga comics in school and is a wonderful painter. I meanwhile handle the buisness side of things and help with preparation and events. I love people and I have excellent administrative skills.

What makes you happy?
What makes me and my wife happy is luckily a long list. We are happy primarily that God has blessed us in so many aspects of our life. We get a great deal of happiness from our Christian faith. We are also extremely happy with our marriage and 3 amazing sons. The most recent source of happiness for us however is Cookie Beard. We love talking to our customers and seeing them enjoy our cookies. When people walk by that haven’t seen our cookies and yell out “Look at that cookie! What is that!”, it makes us very happy. We really enjoy the fact we can make a great income in a way that provides happiness to others!
