Today we’d like to introduce you to Shirah Brothers.
Hi Shirah Brothers, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
We come from a family of 10 kids. We grew up singing southern gospel music with our family group, Royal City. About eight years ago we decided it was time to pursue families and careers, so we came off the road. For the past three years, we have felt a calling to go back into ministry. A year and a half ago we decided to make the calling a reality, and we set off as the Shirah Brothers. The Shirah Brothers consist of three brothers, Josh, Jake, and Aaron.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
This journey has been mostly smooth, but like anything you face in life, there are always obstacles. We have had to be away from home a lot to pursue this passion of ours, so our family has had to sacrifice a lot. However, it’s through these sacrifices that we have become a stronger ministry.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
We specialize in singing gospel music. We are known for our light hearted personalities and our love for God and music. We are most proud of the fact that we get the opportunity to do what we love as bothers, and that’s what also sets us apart. Our life long relationship as brothers is seen any time we sing together. We have years of experience just loving and supporting each other, and that translates into what we do.
How do you think about luck?
We don’t really consider it luck, but God opening doors for us has been crucial. We have realized that when we try to push doors open, they have the tendency to get stuck, but when God chooses to open them up, they seem to almost act as automatic doors. They just open when we approach them.
