Simone Jenkins

Hi Simone, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My entrepreneurial journey started in 2008 when. I wanted to start and have my lipstick line! I did about four years of researching, studying, and creating the concept behind what I wanted my brand to be. At the time, I worked for a good-name cosmetic brand, so I was soaking up plenty of knowledge. Then fast forward to 2014. I, along with my sister (business partner).

We launched LIPSTICKCULT. Currently, we have been rebranding and trademarking, so be on the lookout! I always knew Entrepreneurship would be my end goal, and never took my foot out of my goals. even while working for others! I moved to Nashville and connected with many entrepreneurs to stay grounded and inspired, as this journey can be a rollercoaster of ups, downs, doubts, fears, and all kinds of emotions. I began to create my exit strategy and step into a full-time entrepreneur with no fear! I decided to work on making my gifts, work for me.

I decided to Launch Vault. Virtual, a Virtual Assistance business! I knew it was something I maintained virtually no matter where I was! I could service my clients in Nashville, Chicago, and Indiana. I always ask myself “How did I get here?” I would say holding a promise to myself, that I would follow through, a lot of fasting and praying, to get clear direction.

Can you talk to us about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It’s been so many ups, and downs! Again, I chose this road knowing there would be a lot of bumps, I had so many doors shut, doors would sometimes crack open but it still wasn’t enough. I changed my concept for my current Vault Virtual, I can’t count!

It’s that struggle of doubting myself, not having the confidence, not leading with passion, suffering from imposter syndrome, and an array of negative thoughts. Which I would not suggest at all! Once you decide to take a journey of any kind commit to the struggles and get over those obstacles.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Vault. Virtual?
Vault. Virtual is my VA business where I assist my clients with Virtual styling, Appointment/Booking management, Social Media Management, e-commerce management, and onboarding new employees/clients. I am known for making my client’s busy businesses and lives run smoothly and taking care of their essential needs while running a business.

My motto is “Fashion to Form” I have incorporated my love for fashion/beauty creating options for my clients that need style assistance, and other forms of business needs! I have been wanting to present my business to the world in this way and I finally did and I am most proud with Vault.

Virtual, my personality and my passion show. I serve all kinds of business owners and cater to your needs, “Your Business, in My Business” in a good way!

What do you like best about our city? What do you like least?
I love the growth of the city, the amount of things you can experience, and the cool places you can eat and drink. It’s a southern city, with big city vibes. I least like the ever-rising cost of living! it’s so crazy I can’t keep up!
