Meet Stacy Gaudioso of It Talent

Today we’d like to introduce you to Stacy Gaudioso.

Hi Stacy, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I have a long history with dance, as a young girl, as a dance student, as a performer, and as an instructor. In my late 20s, I was lucky enough to get an administrative job with a leading entertainment production company in Florida, Peter Grey Terhune Presents. My dance background along with my administrative skills is what ultimately landed me that job. I went on to become a casting director there for over 15 years and then as a producer for live entertainment. Now I’m an entrepreneur for my own company and a Senior Talent Agent for YOU Management LLC.

I have been blessed to be a part of the arts most all of my adult life. I have always had a love affair with dance and live entertainment, something about it that speaks to me deeply. It is the only thing besides live music that moves me to tears every time I watch it. For me, it’s not just a feeling, it is an experience that I can physically feel. Dance is my first love and always pulls me in… my career in entertainment has been an adventurous ride, with plenty of ups and downs, either feast or famine, but there’s something about the entertainment industry that keeps me coming back. I am forever ruined for a regular 9 to 5 desk job.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It’s been a long hard road, to say the least, starting anything as a side hustle takes a lot of determination and time. I would say time management has been the most challenging for me. Working a full-time job during the day, while building something on the side at night and on weekends, at times has been exhausting.

Not to mention the fortitude, determination, self-discovery, and healing that has taken place to get here. Looking back, perhaps I could have taken a different route, an easier path, or maybe even a riskier road, but I think I wouldn’t be who I am today if my path hadn’t been exactly the way it’s been, and I can honestly say, I’m better for it.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
It Talent LLC is dedicated to providing aspiring performing artists with the fundamentals of the professional audition process. Supporting them so they can grow artistically as professional performers in the entertainment industry. As the founder of It Talent, it’s not only about coaching talent… it is my heart’s passion to be an agent for change and put more of a spotlight on how important a healthy mindset is to be successful in THIS business, creating a container for change with a specialized focus on Positive Mental Health and daily Self-Care for performing artists in the industry. That is why I went on to train and get certified last year as an NLP practitioner. I wanted to be a better mental health advocate and mentor for all of the performers that I work with.

I am also a recurring presenter at the Southeastern Theatre Conference and hold Master Classes and Workshops regionally at high schools, colleges, dance studios, and conventions. As a Talent Coach, I offer one-on-one mentoring and group programs for performers who are just starting out or who want to fine-tune their audition skills.

I’ve recently taken on a new passion project with some other female entrepreneurs, founding Breakthru Dance Collective. Strategically combining 3 generations of creative expertise and vision for the ultimate DANCE experience, this collective was specifically created to teach aspiring dancers everything they need to know to kick-start their careers.

When I’m not working on It Talent or Breakthru Dance Collective, you can find me talent scouting or auditioning as a Talent Agent for YOU Management LLC. A major talent agency that has expanded from the UK and Germany to the U.S. I absolutely love this job, there’s nothing more exciting than an audition room full of fresh talent to adjudicate or tell one of my clients that they got a job offer and watch them light up! I enjoy it so much as well as the incredible people I get to work with.

I think what really sets me apart from others in the biz is my empathy and compassion for artists in the industry, I’ve been watching these young people struggle in the arts for a long time. It’s not all about building a huge brand or making large profits for me, it’s really more about creating a safe place for artists to come and learn, grow confident with the knowledge they gain, and flourish and thrive in the industry as steady working performers. That is the ultimate payoff for me. I want to be a mama bear to all of them.

I’m excited about what the future holds, it’s taken me a long time to find a place of peace where I currently am, and it feels really good.

What’s next?
My plans for the future are to put It Talent on the map nationally, so more performers know of the services I offer and tap into the resources they’ll need to follow their dreams and be confident in their journey in the entertainment industry.

I’m also really excited to see Breakthru Dance Collective grow in the dance industry, as it is a full day of dance resources at great value. I feel that it is one of the best programs I currently offer for performing artists. I’m really proud of what we’ve created.
