Hi Tammie, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My path has never been linear, but it has always been intentional.
I began my career in corporate leadership, working across complex, highly regulated environments where strategy, trust, and execution mattered every day. Over time, I earned the opportunity to lead high-visibility initiatives, manage significant portfolios, and partner across industries—experiences that sharpened my ability to navigate pressure, make disciplined decisions, and lead with credibility.
At the same time, I felt a pull toward building something tangible and lasting. That curiosity led me into the construction industry—an arena where leadership is visible, accountability is immediate, and results are literally built from the ground up. Starting without a traditional roadmap, I learned the business hands-on, earned my credentials, and grew a company rooted in quality, integrity, and long-term vision.
Along the way, I realized that the principles required to build strong structures are the same ones required to build strong leaders: clarity, consistency, and trust over time. That insight shaped my work as an author, speaker, and executive coach, where I now help leaders navigate growth, transition, and increased responsibility with intention.
Today, my work sits at the intersection of leadership, construction, and thought leadership. I build businesses, develop leaders, and write about what it truly takes to create credibility and legacy—one deliberate choice at a time.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It hasn’t been a smooth road—but it has been a meaningful one.
Any path that involves growth, leadership, and building something new comes with resistance. I’ve navigated industries where expectations were high, the stakes were visible, and the margin for error was small. I’ve also entered spaces where I didn’t fit the traditional mold, which required me to earn trust through consistency rather than assumption.
Some of the greatest challenges came from learning to operate without a clear precedent—building credibility in male-dominated environments, balancing ambition with responsibility, and making decisions that carried real consequences for people, projects, and outcomes. There were moments that required patience, moments that required courage, and moments that required recalibration rather than reaction.
What sustained me was clarity of purpose. Each challenge sharpened my judgment, strengthened my leadership presence, and reinforced the importance of integrity over convenience. Those experiences shaped how I lead today—with intention, accountability, and a long-term view.
Looking back, the challenges weren’t obstacles—they were the training ground. They taught me how to lead under pressure, how to build trust over time, and how to stay anchored while moving forward.

I am the CEO and Founder of The BOLD Knight Group and Residence by Ross, two organizations that reflect different expressions of the same philosophy: intentional leadership, disciplined execution, and building things that last.
Residence by Ross is a luxury residential construction and renovation firm where we specialize in high-quality, thoughtfully designed homes. We are known for our attention to detail, integrity in execution, and the ability to manage complex projects with clarity and care. Our work goes beyond aesthetics—we focus on building trust with our clients, honoring the process, and delivering results that stand the test of time. What sets us apart is our leadership-first approach to construction: clear communication, accountability, and a long-term mindset from concept to completion.
The BOLD Knight Group is my leadership and advisory platform, where I work with executives, founders, and emerging leaders navigating growth, transition, and increased responsibility. Through executive coaching, speaking, and authored frameworks, we help leaders build credibility, presence, and sustainable influence. The work is rooted in the belief that bold leadership isn’t performative—it’s built through consistent choices, values-driven decision-making, and trust earned over time.
What connects both brands is the idea that leadership is architecture. Whether I’m building a home or developing a leader, the same principles apply: strong foundations, intentional design, and disciplined execution. I’m most proud of the fact that both brands are known for substance over flash—doing the work the right way, even when it’s harder.
What I want readers to know is that my work is about legacy. I help people and organizations build with purpose—structures, businesses, and leadership identities that are resilient, credible, and designed to endure.
How do you think about luck?
I don’t think of my journey as one shaped by luck—good or bad—but by preparation meeting opportunity.
There have certainly been moments that looked like good timing and moments that felt like unexpected setbacks. But in both cases, what mattered most was how I responded. Opportunities only become meaningful when you’re prepared to carry them, and challenges only become defining when you choose to learn from them rather than be shaped by them.
In business, I’ve found that what some people call “luck” is often the result of consistent effort, sound judgment, and the willingness to step forward before conditions feel perfect. Likewise, what feels like bad luck often becomes the catalyst for growth, clarity, and redirection.
I’ve learned to focus less on chance and more on stewardship—of opportunities, responsibilities, and the people I serve. That mindset has allowed me to stay grounded through change and intentional about what I build next.
In that sense, luck hasn’t played the starring role. Choice, discipline, and purpose have.
