Hi Tanika , we’re so thrilled to have you sharing your story with us today. Maybe we can kick things off by having you introduce yourself to our readers? We’d love to have you go into your story and how you got to where you are today.
Harper’s Naturals is your the ultimate destination for natural skincare solutions that nourish and rejuvenate your skin. We are passionate about providing our customers with products that are free from harmful and toxic chemicals, allowing their skin to thrive naturally.

In April of 2014 I was diagnosed with an auto-immune disease called Sjogrens. Sjogrens dries up the mucus producing glands, causing inflammation and pain within the body and largely affecting the moisture on my skin. There were days I couldn’t get out of the bed and make a simple walk around the house.

My doctors advised that there was no cure, however with careful research and consulting, I learned that I could lessen the pain and the effects of the disease by eliminating chemically infused products on my skin. I knew then that I had to make a change.

Shortly after, I began making natural, chemical free products in my kitchen and I started seeing results in the way my skin looked and felt. After sharing with family members and friends, there became a demand for more products and soon after Harper’s Naturals was born.

Harper’s Naturals is an e-commerce brand that proudly offers our products through our website and on Amazon. Locally, you can find us in KnoxFill and Mast General Store. Harper’s Naturals was created out of a personal journey towards healthier living. I realized that my skin, the body’s largest organ, was in desperate need of care due to the auto-immune disease. The products we offer are the very ones I trust for myself and my family. At Harper’s Naturals, we don’t just claim to be a natural brand—we truly are. While many brands may include some natural ingredients, their products are often diluted with harmful additives. We are committed to sourcing the purest and most wholesome ingredients for every product, ensuring they are safe for both your skin and overall health. We take immense pride in the fact that we’re still thriving. Many small businesses, especially mom-and-pop shops, struggled to survive the impact of COVID, but we are grateful to not only remain in business but also to experience steady growth. Last year, launching on Amazon marked a significant milestone for us, and we’re excited about exploring new opportunities to continue our success.

As a community leader and the Founder of Shora Foundation, I’m passionate about supporting entrepreneurs through coworking spaces and networking opportunities. That’s how I met Sherry. She attended one of our Black Coffee networking events, where she was looking to secure a virtual address for her business. During these events, Sherry shared how her expertise could help small businesses like Harper’s Naturals by analyzing our processes and systems to make better-informed decisions about our business strategy.

In Spring 2024, I decided to hire Sherry Dial of Dial Services, and it turned out to be one of the best business decisions I’ve ever made. Like many business owners, I typically run a simple revenue and expense report at the end of each month. I use Shopify, and while I knew there were plenty of other reports I should be utilizing, data analysis just isn’t my forte.
