Meet Tiara Tugwell

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tiara Tugwell.

Hi Tiara, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start, maybe you can share some of your backstories with our readers.
Detroit, Michigan, is the birthplace of myself, Tiara Tugwell. As my mother’s only child, music and dance were my ultimate goals. As a young girl. I sang for my Middle and High school choirs. Having Motown records in the city helped inspire me to never give up on my dreams. Later, I decided to move to the South “Atlanta” at the age of 21 to finish College, and I not only grew up but saw life differently. It wasn’t till I changed my environment that I realized I didn’t love myself properly. Later as I approached motherhood and failed relationships, I lost the love of self by putting my needs and wants last or not at all. Life has its ups and downs, and if you don’t love yourself, you will never see the value or amazing you are. 2017 was a life changer for me. I decided to further my career in Education K-12 in Nashville, Tennessee. I love being an Educator. To inspire, teach and believe in yourself is something I love. Self-love is best, and becoming a Self Love Advocate has been the most amazing transition in my life. “You do matter” and “you are amazing are powerful words I use daily to help encourage the Youth to Love and Love themselves. You can do anything. 2022 has given me the energy to develop a Self Love Journal/Podcast to remind you daily of how amazing and loving you are. Adults and Youth suffer so much from mental illness and low self-esteem that Self Care matters.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
