Meet Timmy Renz of Jena louisiana

Today we’d like to introduce you to Timmy Renz.

Hi Timmy, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Gluttony The Bigtop Butcher: A Chronicle of Chaos
Wrestling is more than a passion; it is the ultimate vehicle for entertainment, and the squared circle is the stage I was born to command. My journey is a testament to dedication and, often, a bit of unexpected destiny.
The Origin: The Birth of the Butcher (2019)
My path began not under the bright lights of an arena, but in the virtual proving ground of competitive promo groups. In 2019, my close friend and “brother,” Jake Smith (AKA Rika Wildlee), introduced me to The Wrestling Boiler Room / Voice of Honor. The concept of winning real championship belts through competitive talking was instantly captivating. It was in this environment, fueled by a lifelong love for the sport, that the macabre and unforgettable persona of Gluttony The Bigtop Butcher was born.
The Transition: From Roadie to Ring General (2021 – 2024)
My initial entry into the physical wrestling world was behind the scenes. After Rika Wildlee enrolled in United Wrestling Entertainment (UWE), I dedicated myself to the road, assisting with ring setup, venue tear down, and selling merchandise.
This hands-on dedication paid off in 2024 when Rika approached me with the idea of becoming the manager for his new faction, The Family Affiliated. My official managerial debut took place on October 26, 2024. Traveling across states and managing the stable, I learned the business from the outside in.
Stepping Into the Fire (2025 – Present)
Opportunity struck when several promotions required a last-minute substitute due to a wrestler’s illness. Knowing I had sufficient knowledge to navigate a match, I stepped up to fill the void. Bookers were impressed, and the demand for me—Gluttony—along with the rest of The Family Affiliated, grew instantly.
Recognizing the need to truly craft my in-ring persona, I enrolled in the UWE Wrestling Academy. While continuing to wrestle most weekends, I trained rigorously, completing the academy in August of 2025 under the direction of UWE owner Dapper Dan and Rika Wildlee. My official in-ring debut was January 25, 2025.
In just one year, Gluttony The Bigtop Butcher has quickly become a sought-after talent, working across the following promotions:
SWF (Silsbee, Texas)
WWA (Lufkin, Texas)
BCW (Mendenhall, Mississippi)
RWE (Oklahoma City, Oklahoma)
TNR (Leachville, Arkansas)
CCW (Alma, Arkansas)
ETWA (Texas)
UWE (Central Louisiana)
Championship Gold
This hard work has already resulted in significant championship gold:
RWE United States Championship (126 days)
SWF Apocalypse Championship (99 days)
RWE Tag Team Championship (4 days)
The journey has been fun and wild thus far, and I’m still just getting started. To dive deeper into the backstory and follow the carnage created by Gluttony The Bigtop Butcher, track my journey across all social media platforms.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The path to success has certainly involved significant struggle and sacrifice, yet these challenges are inherent to our passion for the business. Financial prudence is non-negotiable; costs for fuel, lodging, and meals accumulate rapidly. Our schedule requires constant travel, often involving multi-hour drives—ranging from one to nine hours one way—all for a 10 to 20 minute spot in the ring before we drive back to prepare for our full-time jobs. This commitment leads to significant wear and tear on our vehicles, demanding consistent service. Critically, the physical toll on our bodies is immense, making a rigorous regimen of training, stretching, working out, and dedicated rest essential between our professional and wrestling commitments. Ultimately, the dedication and love for the craft make every effort entirely worthwhile.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
Driven by commitment and a 100% effort mentality, this is more than just a life in the ring—it’s a life defined by unwavering dedication.
Outside of professional wrestling, I serve my community both professionally and as a volunteer. My primary role is a Utilities Worker for the town, where I am responsible for the essential installation and repair of gas, water, and sewer services. I also contribute part-time as a dedicated volunteer with the Fire Department, responding to various fire and rescue calls.
What truly sets me apart in every arena—from the utility truck to the firehouse to the wrestling mat—is my work ethic, desire, and drive. Everything I do, I do wholeheartedly. I give 100% to all my endeavors.
This relentless commitment has made my wrestling career a reality. I am incredibly proud of my journey, which now allows me to travel, create a growing fan base in every state I visit, and continually make memorable moments.
My greatest source of pride and motivation is rooted at home: my wife and four kids. Their support stands behind me and cheers me on every step of the way, alongside a strong group of friends who help make my dreams a reality. They are the driving force that fuels my success.

Risk taking is a topic that people have widely differing views on – we’d love to hear your thoughts.
I am naturally a risk-taker, believing that calculated risk is essential to growth. Just as stepping into the ring involves the risk of unexpected outcomes, professional life often presents high-stakes challenges. The key to successful execution is to always think things through, look two steps ahead, calculate the potential risks, and then make a decisive move. While playing it safe is occasionally necessary, I have found that the higher the strategic risk, the higher the reward.
