Today we’d like to introduce you to Tricia Cromwell.
Tricia, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I got started by STARTING. By simply DOING. I’m impatient and I’d rather learn as I go than wait and research. I’ve always had a natural eye for style, space, and transformation. Long before I ever called myself a closet designer or wardrobe stylist, I was reorganizing rooms, styling outfits, and helping friends and family create spaces that felt better to live in. I didn’t realize at the time that those instincts were laying the foundation for a business, but I did know that I didn’t plan to work for someone else for very long.
Like many entrepreneurs, I’ve worn a lot of hats, learned through trial and error, and built this brand step by step. What began as offering organizing and styling help on the side slowly evolved into designing and installing custom closets, creating functional storage solutions, and expanding into broader home organization and improvement services. With each project, I saw firsthand how much a thoughtfully designed space can reduce stress, restore confidence, and improve daily life. I always knew that these things were important, But when I became a mom 8 years ago I realized they are also crucial and deserved!
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I don’t believe any entrepreneur could say that it’s been a smooth road! The toughest part to by far that most people don’t realize going into it, is that starting your own business really means learning yourself. Triggers will come up, cause insecurities, doubt, Imposter Syndrome. There is so much inner work required to actually run a successful business and I don’t think that is talked about enough.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
At the core, I’m a custom closet designer, wardrobe stylist, and home-organization specialist. I design and install custom closets and storage systems that are not only beautiful, but highly functional—spaces that truly work for the way my clients live. I also help clients edit, organize, and style their wardrobes so their closets feel intentional, easy, and inspiring.
I’m known for creating personalized solutions rather than one-size-fits-all designs. Every client, every home, and every lifestyle is different, so I take the time to understand how someone uses their space, what frustrates them, and what they want their day-to-day life to feel like. From there, I design around their routines, habits, and goals.
What I’m most proud of is the trust my clients place in me. People invite me into very personal spaces—both physically and emotionally. Closets and homes hold a lot of stories, and being able to help someone release what no longer serves them and build something better is incredibly meaningful to me.
What sets Trust in Tricia apart is the combination of design, organization, and styling all under one roof. I don’t just build a closet—I help transform how a person experiences their space and themselves. I also show up authentically online, sharing real projects, real life, and real growth, which allows people to connect with me before we ever meet. That transparency, paired with quality work and a hands-on approach, is the foundation of my brand.
How do you think about luck?
I have actually never thought of it until asked this question but I guess I don’t believe in just luck alone! I believe more so that luck plus preparation equals opportunity. Luck alone doesn’t exist because an opportunity, a meeting, a gift- none of these could happen or be considered lucky if there wasn’t any groundwork laid or action taken. I firmly believe it’s not the cards you’re dealt, it’s how you play your hand.
