Meet Trupti Patel of Blo Blo Dry Bar

Today we’d like to introduce you to Trupti Patel

Hi Trupti, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I have lived in TN over 22 years. I was born and raised in Huntsville, AL, where I received my Bachelor’s in Business Administration. I moved to California thereafter and worked, while pursuing my Masters in Organizational Management. I have been working in Corporate Finance for over 25 years, until recently when I opened my first Blowout Bar in 2024 in Mount Juliet, TN. I recently purchased two existing Blo Blow Dry Bars in Franklin and Nashville. I have territories around Middle Tennessee to build 2 more locations in the near future. I am drawn to the business model Blo has to offer to its clients as well as the top notch service, including the pink carpet treatment.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
My first location was Mount Juliet, TN. The community has been welcoming. We are being discovered by clientele slowly and really hope to ramp up in 2025. It has taken a lot of hard work and dedication, including marketing being a key focus for the business.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
Blo is a one stop shop for women leaving them to feel incredible when they leave. Not only do we offer hair services, we also do makeup. We are a no cuts, no color establishment. We specialize in not just blowouts but we have a specialized lookbook where a client can choose from one of our five signature styles. Wash, Dry and Style. We also specialize in Bridal Hair and Makeup, special events, braids, tinsel and private parties. We have a lot of clientele who love getting their hair and makeup done in one sitting for a special occasion or even just to treat themselves. Being a customer myself, I really believed in what Blo offers. Their pink carpet treatment for clients is something so many of our members look forward to. We offer a monthly membership program for women who just want to treat themselves and not worry about the hassle of having to do their hair.

What were you like growing up?
Growing up in Alabama, with an incredible family, I was extremely grateful to be around my parents who owned businesses. Watching them work and run a business in the early 80’s and 90’s was a positive experience. The hard work and dedication my dad, mom and uncle put into each of our businesses was extremely inspiring. I initially took the route of getting my Masters, which was very important in my household. My dad was a great mentor when it came to education and the importance of it. My experience in Accounting and Finance has and will continue to help me run my current business ventures, for that I am grateful.
