Meet Zavieta Hamilton of Endo Vitality

Today we’d like to introduce you to Zavieta Hamilton.

Hi Zavieta, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
When I was sixteen years old, I wasn’t thinking about starting a women’s health business. I was simply trying to make it through another day of school while hiding pelvic pain so severe that I could barely stand.

After years of unanswered questions, I underwent laparoscopic surgery in 2005 and was diagnosed with endometriosis. At sixteen, I couldn’t have imagined that one day my greatest struggle would become the foundation for my life’s work.
Endometriosis is a chronic inflammatory disease in which tissue similar to the lining of the uterus grows outside the uterus, causing severe pain and, in some cases, infertility. According to the World Health Organization, it affects approximately 1 in 10 women and girls of reproductive age, an estimated 190 million people worldwide. Although treatments can help manage symptoms, there is currently no known cure. Despite how common it is, endometriosis remains widely misunderstood, and many women spend years searching for answers before receiving a diagnosis.

Like so many others living with chronic pelvic pain, I learned to build my life around my symptoms. I missed school, social events, and everyday moments because I never knew when the pain would become unbearable.

During some of my worst flare-ups, my grandmother, an experienced nursing professor, introduced me to heat therapy. Along with the support of my husband, Chris, and my family and friends, she helped me navigate some of my most difficult pain days. She would hand me a hot water bottle for relief, and later, the hot water bottle became an electric heating pad that rarely left my side. The heat wasn’t just comforting. It became one of the few things that consistently helped me function.

There was only one problem: relief stayed at home.

I couldn’t comfortably carry an electric heating pad into the office, on a flight, while running errands, or out with friends. Like many women with endometriosis, I found myself choosing between managing my pain and fully participating in my life.
In 2020, I began sharing my endometriosis journey online. I never expected how many people would relate to my experiences. As my community grew, so did the conversations. Women shared stories of missing work, leaving events early, canceling vacations, sitting in parking lots waiting for pain to pass, and feeling invisible in a healthcare system that often dismissed their symptoms.

I realized I wasn’t alone, and neither were they.

Those conversations inspired what would eventually become my company, Endo Vitality.
My goal wasn’t simply to create another wellness product. I wanted to create something discreet, comfortable, and convenient enough to provide support wherever life happens. I wanted to create the portable heat therapy solution I wished had existed throughout my own journey.

Building Endo Vitality has been years in the making. During that time, I continued building my career in Human Resources and Project Management while embracing another dream I once wasn’t sure would be possible: motherhood. After once fearing I might never have children because of endometriosis, becoming a mom became one of the greatest blessings of my life. As my daughter has grown, I’ve been able to devote more time to bringing Endo Vitality to life.
Today, every product we create is rooted in lived experience. I didn’t design something for the market. I designed something I genuinely needed.

My hope is that Endo Vitality helps women feel prepared instead of limited by pelvic pain while also encouraging earlier conversations, greater awareness, and continued progress in women’s health research.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Building Endo Vitality has been incredibly rewarding, but it certainly hasn’t been a straight path.

One of the biggest challenges was self-funding the business while working full-time and raising my daughter. Progress often happened during evenings, weekends, and the small pockets of time I could find between work and family life. There were seasons when the business had to slow down, but I never let go of the vision.

Another challenge was refusing to compromise on the product itself. Because I personally relied on heat therapy for years, every detail mattered. From the heart-shaped design and temperature testing to the packaging, messaging, and overall customer experience, I went through countless revisions because I wasn’t simply creating a product to sell. I was creating something I wanted to trust during my own worst pain days.

Perhaps the greatest challenge has been balancing patience with persistence. Building a meaningful brand takes time, especially when you’re committed to listening to your community and creating something with purpose rather than rushing to market. Looking back, every revision strengthened the company and brought us closer to the mission I originally envisioned.

Our mission is to empower people affected by endometriosis through trusted education, evidence-informed resources, compassionate community, and thoughtfully designed products that help them live beyond the diagnosis.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Endo Vitality is short for “endometriosis life,” because I wanted to create a brand that supports people throughout their journey, not just during a flare-up.

Before Endo Vitality became a business, it started as a conversation. In 2020, I created an online community called Let’s Talk Endo Girl, where thousands of women began sharing their experiences living with endometriosis and chronic pelvic pain. Those conversations reinforced something I had experienced myself: while millions of people live with endometriosis, adenomyosis, PCOS, and other pelvic pain disorders, there are surprisingly few brands dedicated specifically to this underserved community.

Our first product is a lightweight, ultra-thin, air-activated portable heat therapy pad designed to provide discreet relief for pelvic pain anytime, anywhere. Simply open the pouch, remove the adhesive backing, and place it inside your underwear for comfortable, wearable heat that moves with you throughout your day, whether you’re working, traveling, running errands, or spending time with family.

What sets our product apart is that every design decision came from lived experience. The heart-shaped design was intentionally created to fit the body’s natural curves more comfortably while walking, sitting, working, or traveling. I wanted something that felt discreet enough to wear with confidence, lightweight enough to forget it was there, and thoughtfully designed to complement a modern lifestyle. From the warm, earthy branding to the premium packaging, every detail reflects the care and dignity I believe this community deserves.

What I’m most proud of is that Endo Vitality wasn’t created from assumptions or trends. It was built from years of listening to real people living with chronic pelvic pain. Every product begins with one simple question:

“Would this have helped someone through one of their hardest days?”

If the answer isn’t yes, we keep improving it.

My hope is that when someone sees Endo Vitality, they don’t just think of heat therapy. I hope they think of a brand that understands what it’s like to live with pelvic pain and is committed to helping people move through life with greater comfort, confidence, and support.

We all have a different way of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
To me, success isn’t measured solely by revenue.

Success is hearing from someone who tells me they were able to finish their workday, attend their child’s soccer game, travel, or simply get through a difficult day because Endo Vitality gave them comfort when they needed it most.

It’s seeing conversations around endometriosis become more common, diagnoses happen earlier, and women feel believed instead of dismissed.

If Endo Vitality becomes a trusted name that not only provides relief but also helps bring greater awareness to women’s health, then I’ll consider that a success. Long-term, my goal is to partner with organizations and foundations dedicated to women’s health so that Endo Vitality becomes more than a product. I want it to become part of a larger movement toward earlier diagnosis, better support, and greater awareness for people living with chronic pelvic pain.
