Rising Stars: Meet Adonis Dooley of Lavergne

Today we’d like to introduce you to Adonis Dooley.

Hi Adonis, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I started singing young in the church choir and then the school choir. Growing up, I was in a couple of musicals and also sang the national anthem at many school events. When going to college, I couldn’t decide what to do in life, so I reached for my passion. After my first year, I decided to major in Music Business to learn that aspect of the entertainment industry. Since then, I have started my independent music career and am learning sound.

We all face challenges, but would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It hasn’t been a smooth road. I struggle with content creation on social media and funding. I enjoy making music, but creating a fanbase has been difficult, in my opinion. I’ve learned it takes time and consistency. Funding a music career or passion is working a 9-5 to pay for your dream and living. So I’ve had to make a lot of sacrifices for my music. None of which I regret, but I had to adjust.

Please tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others.
So I am Nashville’s underground Soul Pop artist. This is a blend between R&B/Soul/Pop/Hip Hop/ with a touch of Country. At the beginning of my musical journey, I focused on R&B, and now I have branched to many different genres. I am finishing my first project, which is a smooth R&B project. I am known for my live performances and am very fortunate to be nominated for the SEA awards. I am most proud of the confidence I have gained through learning music. I’ve been able to connect to myself, and that has translated to others. I feel like my ability to stay true to myself sets me apart.

So, how can our readers or others connect or collaborate with you before we go? How can they support you?
I love collaborations because they allow different creative mindsets to merge. You can always reach out to me via email or dm. All my information is attached to my link tree.
