Today we’d like to introduce you to Braden Wall.
Hi Braden, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I went to school, got a guitar and started playing some college bars. I got good feedback on my cover songs so I kept singing. I started playing my own songs live, and got good feedback, so I kept writing. Here we are.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I’m driving from Seattle to Miami in the dark without an atlas. There’s no clear path to being a songwriter aside from songwriting itself.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I’m just a normal guy. I’m known for being a good friend, son and husband-most importantly.
People say I write good songs, but when I listen to Guy Clark my words seem to fall short. However, I am proud of truth and creativity in my words and stories.
We’d be interested to hear your thoughts on luck and what role, if any, you feel it’s played for you?
Bad luck is easy to come by in the comfort zone. Good luck comes when you take a risk.
One of the riskiest things you can do in today’s economy is make an album independently. The cost is high, and the algorithm hates you. But here I am, risking it for the biscuit. I’ve got 12 tracks in the works. Hopefully good luck drifts my way.
