Rising Stars: Meet Cameo Bobo

Today we’d like to introduce you to Cameo Bobo.

Hi Cameo, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Hi! First things first, yes, my “real” name is Cameo Bobo.

Now that I have your attention lol, here’s a little about myself! I’ve been featured on H&M’s Time Square billboard, authored a bestselling book, and had three hit singles on the radio.

Additionally, I’m CEO of a girl’s program and shopwithcameo.com boutique.

My most rewarding accomplishment is being a mom to an amazing son!

So, how’d I become this multi-faceted, multi-passionate version of myself? Well, I started out as a Fashion Designer and Stylist participating in fashion shows around Tennessee. During that time, I met Bobby Jones (BET Gospel) and began hosting a talent competition show and producing a fashion show for two of his nationally syndicated shows.

From there, I discovered a love for music and became a music artist, releasing my first single, FAWM (Fearfully and Wonderfully Made). FAWM, transformed into a girl’s program. Then life threw a hard punch and I went through a difficult breakup that led me to make a decision to purposely give myself and my goals 100%!

These transformational changes led to me becoming a Goal Coach, and author, of “The Best Life Formula” book and starting a membership for women entrepreneurs to help them achieve their goals every 90 days!

My life purpose is to inspire others to make transformational changes and live their best lives through my books, services, music, and products. I’m grateful for my journey and could not make it without the faithfulness and grace of Jesus Christ in my life!

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Yes, the road has been bumpy! But with determination, support, and a somewhat stubborn attitude I’ve made it this far! I’ve learned not to expect life to be perfect.

There will be setbacks, distractions, and discouraging moments. Instead, I’ve learned to focus on pushing forward and each time everything always works out perfectly!

I enjoy working with female entrepreneurs through my Best Life Babes Membership and A Cameo Experience Events.

We’d love to hear about any fond memories you have from when you were growing up?
Growing up, at the start of each school year my Grandmother, who we called “Grand-Dottee” would take me school shopping.

We shopped at expensive children’s boutiques and department stores. She always allowed me to pick out my clothing and purchase the clothing I liked best. It was so much fun and very empowering! This experience helped birth my sense and passion for fashion.

I can not THANK my Grand-Dottee enough for the kind gestures and confidence she deposited into me over the years.
